@wkhang: I am sorry but you're being very judgmental. Celebrating something is not synonymous with forgetting the misery in the world.

@ Afreen,
No one is mourning here CLEAR !!

Do you mean by saying this " Whatever we do here, we’ll be accountable later ", " Every person has to do his/her own part in making things better ",

Well some time everyone just dont do enough or do nothing at all, want to see an example VIST TARIQ ROAD at the moment..

this is what makes me write it on and on, unless I make my point clear 'Hope so',

Our boat is sinking each minute, each hour, each day....

here is the latest... after British, US also have stoped the visa serives in Pakistan.

You enjoy the BBQ at the top of the baot, we think and try to save our boat.

End of conversation.

wkhang, don't think I do not care what is happening around me. Life here is just the first stage. Whatever we do here, we'll be accountable later. Every person has to do his/her own part in making things better. This is what I was talking about. Just mourning people wouldn't do anything. We as individuals and collectively as a nation have to make a stand and work together in making our community better.

@Afreen,

What ever you said its correct, I agreed with you. But try to convince me only one thing. If you have death in your house (God Forbid), are you going to celebrate the Eid ?

If your house get burnt are you going to celebrate the Eid ?

If your brother or sister or any family member injured lost legs or arms are you still going to tell everyone that " Life goes on I am going to celebrate eid ".

Afreen Afreen Afreen Afreen husnay janay kee tareef mumkin nahi,

@Afreen,
What ever you said its correct, I agreed with you. But you explain me only one thing.

Blasts will happend,
people will get murdered,
ladies will burried alive,
13 years girl sold out twice (as per todays news in Express News),
School girl murdered (today in Quetta),
14 Armed Forces guys Shaheed (todays news),
EarthQuake just came into Rawalpindi, Deer, Malakend, Islamabad etc, 5.3 R.Scale,

Are these all is enough for us or more need to provide on current situation ?

Oh yeah I do not care of all these things
I will go in Market and buy news cloths worth 5000 Rs or may be more,
I will buy news shoes,
I will buy new song cds and keep playing in my car or house loudly,
I will go on date,
I will stay out in Market for just staring girls, till 4 am,
I will even not care that tonight is 23rd Night of Ramadan or 25th Ramadan Night (Laila-tul-Qader), I will ignored all this and will keep going on to do those things which is totally against the human nature.

Dear Brother,

Look in your sourndings, feel the pain.... look into your third street, people does not have night meal, or some one is laying down in fever, or some one is planing to do BOMB BLAST, this is our duty, my duty, my responsibility ( I own karachi ), to take care of each other.

We we do not care all of this, than the latest current wakeup call came (earthquake) from Allah.

FIX IT or its get too late...

PEACE

@ wkhang, There would be no time in this world for a smile if we kept on mourning. Blasts would happen, terrorist attacks too; people would pass on, sometime peacefully while in other times violently; different factions of the community would continue at each others' throats, plotting, scheming; natural disasters will keep on happening. There is no stop to this. If a bomb blasts here, a bridge falls somewhere else, while people die on truckload basis for reasons ranging from mundane reasons of inconsistency, revenge, independence to Jihad. If we keep on mourning, we would never be able to stand and keep going. Life is given for sustenance and perseverance. We should persevere and make a stand rather than lying low moping.

@ salmanjamali, I remember a Hadith of our Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him): “Fast when you see it [the new moon] and stop fasting when you see it, and if it is cloudy then complete the month with thirty days.” That is the basis for determining the beginning and end of Ramadan by the actual sighting of the new moon.

If you see this on the basis of Islamic shariah with which Allah sent our Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) is universal and everlasting, until the Day of Resurrection. (It is valid for every time and place, whether worldly sciences are advanced or otherwise, whether there are telescopes etc. Sighting the moon is something that people of all places and times can do, unlike calculations which may or may not be within the reach of the people, and telescopes which may or may not be available).

(Interpretation of the meaning): “… So whoever among you sights (the crescent on the first night of) the month (of Ramadan), he must observe sawm (fast) that month…” [al-Baqarah 2:185] So the beginning and ending of Ramadan are connected to the actual sighting of the moon, and not to the calculations of astronomers, even though Allah knew that the astronomers would develop their science to the point where they would be able to calculate the positions of the stars and heavenly bodies. The Muslims are obliged to follow what Allah has prescribed for them through His Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), basing the beginning and end of the fast on the sighting of the moon.

@ tzaidi, I am one of those who get Saturdays off :)
