I am having a lilbit tough time here figuring out what is everyone’s problem with an event that probably contributed crores to the national economy? Providing jobs to hundreds of people, is that a problem?

My tomorrows work lis:

Wakeup at 6 or 7
Take a wash
Have Breakfast
Oh I am late from Office " Boss will ask again " : (
its 8 almost, oh gosh this traffic,
I am at Office at 830 no problem

Time 12noon:

Okay its lunch time, Waoo my lunch time is full of goodies, gr8….hhhhmmm

Time 1pm:

Work again, pending work , Boss is here at my table " Hey I want you to give this project till day after tomorrow okay " ? Yes Boss :(,

Time 230pm:

Call from friend " hey what is the plan for this Saturday " ? Answer " Hey man lets call to bla bla bla and ask them as well " ….. well any way we will go to beach and have BBQ with some music okay, ? eeeeemmm okay Deal …. let me call all of them, we will have atleast 7 people,, got it….

Time 256pm:

Call Ends

Time 3pm:

lets check some emails…. hhmmm okay not bad some one send me this link about bla bla bla not bad…..

Time 4pm

TEA time with some cigrates or what not…….

Time 430pm

Gosh finally its almost time to finish the work day….

okay lets go home, traffic jam, rush hours, buy some stuff while going to home, get some dvds to watch, listning songs in the car hhhhmmmm nice song hhhmmmm…

Okay reach at home, tired, lay back little …. have rest…..

Dinner time

TV time

Tired……. put alarm on the mobile ….

SLEEPING…………………

NEXT DAY same all same, (Unless something different happen)…

Now ya all tell me what I have missed in this whole story… or what I have missed it the most important from my busy schedule ????

Lets get out on the road and raise voice against all that jazz, Lets start complaining about the adv budgets all these giants have.. MNCs and specifically MNOs ..

therz a lot to be done when u start thinking my friend.

Today..You dont have many industries which are growing in this country of ours, media is an exception and the boom is a reality. LSA is part of a strategy by Uni-Lever, and its not simply a party so to speak. Ppl from the entertainment industry who have worked hard (lets not go into the debate of what they should be doing or what they were doing, lets just consider them as professionals) are recognized for their efforts(lets not go into the debate of should and could).

This event was actually planned to be staged abroad, but the plan was shelved, you know the reason? The gist of official statement from Uni lever was that they don’t wish to spend too much money and stage a show when country is in such a state of unrest. But it was a turn down for those who were nominated and eventually the event took place.

Has any one ever questioned the annual dinners/parties that are celebrated in companies to award better performing individuals?

Ok at the end lets ban LSA..Lets start charity from home, lets throw away that Stereo system, lets sell all those TV sets, hi fi home theater systems, cell phones… lets change the imported four wheelers, lets ride a bike, lets take a bus, lets pool in and commute in groups rather then driving alone, lets take off that designer watch and shoes and those branded clothes.

Lets turn off the pc and save sum electricity…

P.S. I am not part of Uni-lever or any MNC/MNO for that matter so nothing personal here ;)

Wkhang – you raised some important points and forced me to the years when I was banned from this very website during my graduation years for raising similar sentiments – although, I was a bit harsher then you.

Yaar Mujhay Tu Sharam Aatee Hai seriously! Appnay aap say and there’s this feeling of guilt after looking at the two ends of our society – the difference between two classes has seriously broaden to an extinct where something has to be done on urgent basis.

Yaar – I will prorably come up with point sometime later with what you wrote but on LUX STYLE AWARDS – what I heard is that the multi-national spend around – Rs.60-100 million – easy and they put the money into there “marketing expenses” to save “taxes” – unfortunately, this is how the MN’s works in the land of unpure!
