in response to sarah siraj i think i agree to her point dat our govt is so kanjoos to even spend a penny, so i think there must be a reason behind it…but i still stick to my idea of it being an open canvase to the people to express there views and feeling to the world and be herd…haha or rather seen for that matter =>….

In response to the last couple of people i have a feeling that they all think its just a waste of money…but i think u guys r missing the big picture….keeping in mind its pakistan and people are reluctent to even spend a single penny even if their life was dependent on it…em sure there must be a logical explaniation to it….i like the idea that husain and the rest of the people said about it being an open canves for people to share there feelings to the world by throwing pan ke peek on it…and em sure if u go and check it out rite now…there might be some feelings u will find there ;P

its like a huge spare box which is thrown on the road for the purpose of trashing. i agree they want to decorate karachi but in this way its much better as it is.

agreed but c here . you start from scratch ok. maybe they comissioned a reay ow eve artist or maybe the artist went to abstract . i mean we for a intents and purposes dont reay know wat it is for .

dude a this is fine but just because the govt is doing somethijng doesnt make it rite. i mean yeah they commisiioned an art piece but wat purpose is it serving . the purpose of the piece is to be aestheticay pleasing to the eye and if itz not then itz a huge waste of money and city resourses.they mite as we give the money to someone who needs it

The piece is aesthetically nothing. I dont know how these projects get approved. Even the sulpture piece intalled at shon circle is a lifted idea of a german sculptor. It looks like it is showing a finger to the karachiets. But i do agree with Anumboi that it is there. If it would not have been there we all would not have been talking about it. I thinlk the government should commission only genniune and aesthetic artworks. Trust your own artists before they die or even let the youth create something for the beatification of the city

oh my god!! what the hek is wrong with you all? then you all say and especially you hussain that the givt doesn’t do anything and how is our mayor the 2nd best in the world and all that other crap of finding negativity about your city?! i mean so what this art peice is there, fine it is not perfect in our "arty" terms but atleast somebody tried. I agree with you all that pan peak and pee will flow into it and yes farwa that posters will be stuck in it but then thats who you are as a citizen. it is you farz to keep yourself and your surroundings cleand and if you fail to do that then it shows what sort of a citizen you are and how you like where you live. So, everyone, please grow up and be optimistic!!!

well i agree with saad and muaz it will proberbly be used for peeing or pan ki peak. i mean look at the state other art pieces have suffered in the hands of the public . the sculptures disappeared from seaveiw and posters of the political candidates are stuck on the rest of them. thatz all they are used for anyways nobody gives them a second glance.

that is just beyond disgusting yar. i mean atleast somebody is trying to do something to our city. imagine if they hadnt made that structure wat would u be talking about now except for the same boring politics issue. and i completly agree with the guys up thr it must be something for the ideas exhibition.
