Sorry pal I’m totally against what you have suggested.
Let me explain, why we should take all such matters seriously, its not our responsibility it’s the state responsibility. If we have to do all the things by ourselves then I wonder what will they do.(government)

Why we pay taxes, why we caste our so called valuable votes, if we have to take precautionary measures by ourselves.
It’s the responsibility of the state, elected parliamentarians are responsible, WAPDA and KESC is responsible to take reasonable measures to resolve this energy crisis. After all they are getting heavily paid for it and no one is doing anything for charity.

My humble and sincere suggestion is “ Instead of taking all the responsibilities on our shoulders we should ask government to provide us all the due facilities”

P.S
My eyes and ears are open for healthy criticism and suggestions.

well i think we should start utilizing sunlight as much as possible because we even can’t depend on gas as its also getting expensive so we pakistani should have to take our matter seriously and have to be united to get resolve ourself to some extend without expecting from our govnment .when one hourse advance started so instead of following it and utilizing a day light people start adjusting there time according to pervious time which they use to be.shopping plazas were ask to close at 9 but not followed.

It is a sad state of affairs, electrcity is a necessity in todays day and age-regardless of which class it is we belong to. I know, as an art student esp, that it affects my work and delays my submissions. F

i got the biggest shock when i saw the bill this morning, the a/c’s had been switched off for the past 2 weeks, and the bill was rs. 20 freaking thousands…. 13,500 + 6,500 from last month that was adjusted is now billed here again.

Looks like now we have to work our arses off just to earn enough bucks so that we can pay the electricity bills (for all the kundas in the city, that are being ’surcharged’ to us)

i agree with the above comment loadshading is not only happening in summer but also now winter even the all stress been bear after advance one hour idea been applied, iagree it has affects the lower class the most because they are not equipped with the facalities of a generator.i think the present government is not thinking about them.the 2008 budget shows that they made the budget for them self not for every one and they think it is test from God for the people who are loved by God,They will pray to God for money ,job or electricity,now i think poor people don’t have right to dream as there is no govnment to listen them. The electricity crisis in Pakistan has affected the lives of every individual living in the city regardless of class. However i feel that it affects the lower class the most. I am glad that there have been protests because if it had not been the case no action even if it being the minimum would have been taken. The rich are all equipped with the facalities of a generator but what about the poor? In summer times the situation is at its peak. It’s just very upsetting to see that the situation in the city has become so bad that we are not even equipped with the most basic facilites of life. Forget roads ,education, terrorism and other problems in the country, without electricity there is no life and if there is no life there is no city. We cannot even begin to move further in the world unless these basis issues are not resolved.Drastic steps need to be taken as soon as possible !!!
