Reports of Unrest Late Night In The City.
There are reports of heavy exchange of firing between two groups at Soharaab Goth and a bomb blast on a pushcart near Bakra Mundi. Reports of unrest and violence in different parts of the city. Shops and markets are reported to have been closed in Aziz Abad, Gulburg, parts of Gulshan-e-Iqbal (near Abul Hasan Asphani Road) are reported to have been closed earlier then usual. While since 12:30 am we have been hearing heavy firing with intervals coming from a distance here in Gulshan-e-Iqbal.
What’s surprises me is that none of the local news channels are reporting any of it.

Actually the settlers from disturbed areas of Pakistan are reaching Karachi since few months back, Karachi has no ARM factory but the world knows which areas of Pakistan are factory of drugs and illegal weapons.
In this TV interview a settler is accepting that they are involved in robberies because of unemployment.

I appeal to the authorities to take serious notice of these activities and restore government land from these Un-lawful agents from remote areas of Pakistan, Otherwise these areas are becoming heaven for criminals

Regarding Shotgun, yes I do have SG rounds along with "not so lethal" birdshots. From hunting point of view, .22 is a weak round & doesn’t kill an animal as large as a deer humanely. Anything above it is much better but not allowed. Anyways, apart from what I think of Altaf Hussain, I second his call for karachiites to get arms license & weapons. Although I have a fairly -ve opinion regarding licenses being issued on political basis, getting 1 with non political PR should be high priority for those who can afford it & understand what a firearm & self/home defense is about.

Grenade attacks in Sohrab Goth terrorise Karachi

KARACHI: Unidentified culprits attacked the Urdu-speaking population with hand grenades in Sohrab Goth, a Pakhtoon dominated area, at night on Thursday. It has also been learnt that intense firing by an ethnic group disturbed many areas of city including the Superhighway.
There was friction between the two groups for the past few days and cases of ethnic violence were also recorded, Gulberg Town SP Allauddin Abbasi told Daily Times.
An ethnic based organization gathered at Sohrab Goth and its surrounding areas including the Powerhouse, Shafiq More and Abul Hassan Isphani Road and started firing and pelting stones at passing vehicles disturbing the routine and commercial life of the areas. Witnesses said that the group of miscreants, in turns, threw hand grenades two at time at the Urdu-speaking population in Gulshan-e-Amin. It was learnt that no one was injured, however, there were some unconfirmed reports stating that at least five people sustained injuries due to the firing. A pole-mounted transformer (PMT) blew up in the incident.
“I was informed about the blasts,” DIG Aleem Jaffery told Daily Times. SP Abbasi confirmed that a passenger bus driver was injured during the firing. “A motorcycle was set ablaze,” he said, adding that heavy police contingents arrived at the scene to prevent any further injury. However, he denied that hand grenades were thrown although armed men set ablaze a pushcart.
Gulshan Town SP Sohail Zafar Chatta said that some of the miscreants barricaded the superhighway and pelted passing vehicles with stones. The police reached the scene and gained control of the situation.

Last time after multiple bombings in Jaipur Rajasthan we had similar multiple bombings in pathan dominated areas here in Karachi. Obviously Indians or local Indian sponsored agents were involved back then. This time too something sinister is brewing. Dear Indian friends, I offer my sincere, unconditional, and brotherly sympathy for the devilish actions of some who call themselves "Muslim."
No cause, no injustice, no vision, no revenge, no agenda, no Jihad, and certainly NO RELIGION can justify this senseless, murderous, and thoroughly un-Islamic act of butchery.
Let’s not dignify these violent murderers by resorting to useless speculation, endless analysis, and empty rationalization. Call these butchers what they are and pray for swift and fitting retribution on this earth and in the after-life for these terrorists and their sponsors.
I also understand that passions are running high and I share your anger and sadness at the most recent outburst of thoroughly unnecessary loss of precious human lives and wanton damage to a wonderful city’s calm and infrastructure.

No wonder, they tried to impose self rule / other their own writ in Bajur, Banu and Wazirstan to create a safe heaven for self and alike. This was a challenge to sovereignty of Pakistan, therefore a military action was undertaken, as a result these war mongers instead of fighting, started escaping to different areas of Pakistan and what could be better place to hide then super highway exit in Karachi. They will be having a large number of unregistered population around them, its right next to main transportation route, its in middle of an industrial area, any disturbance created by them will not go un-noticed.
MQM understands these war mongers, that is why they started ringing the bell from the time when the military action in tribal areas started getting into momentum. That was not a normal call, if you want to save yourself and your family from these vultures then all karachites need to be united against them (minus Doctor, who of course will never understand).
