  • Residing in Karachi.
  • Committed to make at least 3 city specific posts per week .

Zeb And Haniya Rock! (Videos from the Concert)

The Dawood Public School concert that Zeb and Haniya performed at was a great one! They played their numbers and wow’ed the crowd – and what a loud and fun audience this was! Zeb & Haniya and Fuzon Concert on Saturday December 20th

There is a Zeb & Haniya and Fuzon concert taking place at the Dawood Public School (school opposite the Aga Khan Hospital) on the 20th of December. Anyone interested can purchase tickets at EGO. I believe tickets are for Rs.400 each. Oh -the concert is for young women and girls only, so well, if you aren’t a girl person, please don’t bother buying the ticket!

"Piece by Piece" By Izdeyar Setna

 “Piece by Piece”  an exhibition of Photography by Izdeyar Setna opened at the canvas Art Gallery on the 16th of December 2008.

The exhibition is Izdeyar’s second solo photography exhibition and the medium he chose for this exhibition is photographic prints on canvas. 

 

The exhibition presents an absolutely stunning display of photos full of colors, well balanced and well composed into strong statements.

 

The exhibition will remain open till 26th of December at the Canvas Art Gallery.

Food festival For A Cause

A Non-Governmental organization CFC (Concern for children), has organized a food festival on the 21st of December 2008, from 11:00 am till 6:00pm at the Rahat Stadium, DHA. The fund raiser event is for the whole to enjoy and with scrumptious food, fun rides and games for the kids and a special treat for the sport lovers, a Football match between some major schools of the city.

 

All proceeds from this event will be used to benefit the “Machar Colony” Community Driven Development Project which working to improve the quality of life for the residents of Karachi’s largest unofficial Kachi Aabadi.

 

Concern for Children back in September this year had also organized an exhibition of photography and artwork by the children and some of the countries leading photographers to highlight the poor living conditions and the issues faced by the under privileged people of Machar Colony.

I received this msg on 6th December 2008 and this guy from unkown number was begging for Mobile Balance.

“Apjo koi bhe ho plz mere is num. 03067790*** per 15rps send kr do main hospital main musibt man hun plz tumko alah aur rasol k waste mera yakin kro plz 15rps plz.”

A lot of people I know In Karachi have received this message. I myself tried on this number for couple of time to contact this guy but was unable to call him. What your reaction when you get such messages I like to hear from you guys.

Rescue 911 for a Karachi Cow

The kid starts controversy in the end saying the qurbani of this cow is not permissible. Cant see if it got injured during rescue.
