@Fareen: wear green glasses, simple.

@Wasiq: Hi dude.Reading your comments after ages is as refreshing as having fresh biryani after a long time.

So are you live from train heading to D.C or from Jamshed Town?

@ psychatrist.

well buddy, being a well placed Finance professional....guess i can reply to your probelms with details.

no offence, but my opinio on card holders like you, who dont get the details first, are like monkeys playing with razors..they are bound to get hurt one day eventually.

but to be honest...its the banks who really cheat customers with there blah blah blah jargons that you dont understand.

i see people sufferin with creadit card issues all around me....long live shaukat aziz for that.

so here is the probelm.

1) bank said they wont charge you for transactions...true.....but for what type of transactions....they didnt tell....my firend...its world over rule that they charge you after 45-60 days after transaction varying form bank to bank and card to card........but cash withdrawls are charged form day one....every bank and card advertise that.....and oh yes....they charge an additional cash withdrawl processing fee.....its perfectly normal for them ( although absurd , but thats the industry practice)

2) normally your legal way out is to g to banking court......i have taken UBL & CITI to court on diffrent ossacios and won......but that was a diffrent issue, i know there rules and games and can walk around them......they normally trap you in there legal issues.

3) worst thing is...they clearly mention it in there terms and condition nd on every bill they send you...but honestly speaking...for a layman ...he has hardly 10 % chance of finding it there of he looks hard.

thats what is called a "fine print"

so insetad of legal handling...do what most pakistanis do

1) either pay off all that and cut the card
2) write to newspaper and praythey write it off.

i guess now you wud understand why every bank is jumping in cfredit card business in pakistan...becasue they see all of us as chikens to be buthcered....and the level of literacy here, they have there accoutns fiulled to the hilt wth cases like these.

sorry bro.

but if you want to teach them a lesson, do send me an email.....i'll talk over it

What can I say except...ANOKHI LADLEE KHELAN KO MANGEY CHAND!!!.....
Now on a serious note, I don’t want to sound pessimistic but in a city of 12.9 million people with almost 3,680 heads/sq. km population density, a society where masses are pretty much struggling just to make their ends meet, where basic amenities of life are considered luxury, where clean drinking water is available to fortunate few and the ever growing need & greed of Quaid-e-Azam Green…..talk of other green and to make people aware of environmental issues & its importance would be a real challenge. Since my childhood, I have seen countless campaigns for planting trees both by local & federal governments, but the results are yet to be seen. I think it’s a cultural issue…. ……. as a society we have become so numb and selfish (or stupid is the better word) that we don’t even realize the immediate threats that we pose to ourselves & our coming generation. I mean how difficult it is to understand that Pollution (all kinds of, especially air) is a direct cause of most of upper respiratory diseases we have these days, still we don’t want to ride bicycles, I never saw any positive fashion ever happening in this country. The morons who talk a lot are the ones who contribute equally or most of the time more to pollute the society. Guess who rides big huge cars, who uses most of the electricity, above all who sets the trend for the rest of the herd to follow. I truly believe that, if those fortunate few start setting good, healthy trends, the rest will follow.
