On my way back from office tonight I saw man who was trying to install MQM flag on a signal near mobile market the first thing that came to my mind was is there new political game started. Near hasan square when I found that Civic center is decorated with red,green and white lights I was surprised. After few hours when I saw bike rally with MQM flags the mystery solved and I found that tonight is sliver jubilee of MQM. I am not a party supporter but I decided to visit Markaz (90) to take some photographs.

Only time do they really quit the government is when they are caught with their pants down and the sitting government is serious about dealing with MQMized terrorist gang. PPP activist killed in ambush
A 50-year-old local office-bearer of the Pakistan People’s Party was killed and five others were wounded in Orangi Town a little after midnight on Tuesday in an attack allegedly by workers of a party in the provincial coalition government.
Tension gripped parts of the locality following the attack on the Pajero jeep of Mohammed Salam, better known as Salamu, near Jauhar Chowk at around 12.30pm in the limits of the Pakistan Bazaar police.
The fatally wounded Salamu died on his way to the Civil Hospital, where he was taken with other wounded victims, Dost Mohammed, Yaqoob, Iqbal, Mohammed Hafiz and Ali Bux Baloch, the driver.
The police registered a case (FIR 133/2009) under sections 302 (intentional murder), 324 (attempt to murder) and 34 (common intention) on the complaint of Ali Bux Baloch, who named seven MQM workers – Jawaid Hamdani, Dilawar alias Khan Sahib, Jahangir alias Kirch, Dr Rasheed, Manzoor Bakar, Haider and Channa — as the attackers.
The police, however, said none of the suspects was so far arrested.
Meanwhile, according to APP, the MQM coordination committee condemned the killing of the PPP activist, saying that the murder was a conspiracy to disturb peace in the city.

I was born in a village on top of a mountain of Murree about 30 km from Margalla hills. Was brought up and educated in Karachi and then spent better part of my life there. Currently I am settled here in Islamabd but my heart is still in Karachi. For all practical purposes I consider myself a Karachite. My thinking may not be like the thinking of a typical Karachite (present time karachite) but it is also not like the thinking of the people of this area. Well, for that matter KD’s thinking has not been tainted by any perticular area of the world. It has only been influenced by the thinking of some world renowned writers and philosphers.
As for my permenant address it will be somewhere in some Quabristan in Karachi or Islamabad depending where I happen to be when I bid farewell to this world for good :-)

on my one and only visit I stayed near faisal…prayed at Gen sab’s grave for Americans to come and bring the best of both worlds….climbed(conquered) up and down the margalla….visited the bari imam to let them know I existed and did not break the bread…my companions were protesting….and rightly so…because my stubbornness brought the downfall of Saddam…from there I went to balakot…and wowed by the shaheed’s grave never to surrender to the Americans….see a lot can happen in just two days….

It must be their herd which may not be following the trends as observed by you which is a different matter. As far as they, the people, are concerned I promise you they follow their herd alright just like most other people do at other places.
Wasiq, I will be surprised if you really live in a world of your own and don’t follow your herd. It takes an awful lot of courage not to follow the herd. KD knows it because he doesn’t generally follow his herd. He always drinks water upstream of his herd if he sees it drinking muddy water.
KD started living in a world of his own when he found his herd thought ignorance was a bliss and he disagreed with it vehemntly. It was not so easy for him to break away from his herd.

Few weeks before the long march KD was at a luncheon party where the wife of Canadian Ambassador, alongwith a lawyer friend of hers from Canada on a short visit to Pakiatan, was also present. After having a few drinks KD started talking to both of them as to why he was going to participate in the long march and dharna. Seeing KD so wrked up on this issue, and knowing KD was a liberal kind of guy, the Ambassdor’s wife asked me with a gentle smile on her face: "And what would you do if the judges are still not restored."

KD is not so good with words to describe the expression on the face of the lady after hearing his candid reply to her query. It was a kind of expression of horror on her face. @KD sarkar….sir If I had pee’d on the Gen sab’s grave…which I presume is a common trait of the inhabitants of the surrounding jungle(it was a jungle back then iam not aware of the current status)…..the famous and the infamous…then americans would have not waited for so long….I was very upset about the way of his exit….I knew he has to go but….only if I had a little more experience…years later my landing was perfected for Musharraf’s exit…but I am still trying to workout his entry….

sir people trying to imitate my multitasking…aah the list is long and amusing….there is one colleauge of mine who tried to do work on his excell sheet and listen to political debate on Aaj tv in backscreen….he somehow blew up all his work and was clumsy enough to save the black screen…effectivley removing all chance of any undo of the disaster…..us din ke baad janab na toba keri….but i keep fighting on.
as for mullah…sometime you try our masjid on II chundrigah….he is a practile mullah…..he knows where he is standing…..State bank, stock exchange and all head offices of banks….so he stays within janat and hoors and all the goody goody thhings…no controversy topics.
so apply the same rule for mullah as u do for wine…choose the one that has aged well…..drink it raw and it ruins the taste….and drink the badly made home concoctions and you may loose sight…..:)

You are right about the selection of the Mulla. Once I had food at a road side restaurant and took a rest under a tree on a chrpoy. There I heard the Mulla losing his shirt over trespasses of his flock. He told them in so many words:
Tum iss jehaan main ous kee batoon ka mazak uratay ho. Woh ous jehan main tumhari maan bahnoon kee asi tasi kar kay rakh day ga. Tum nay ous ko samjh kia rakha hay.

Sorry I forgot to mention in my comments of 03 Apr that I asked these guys if they indeed laugh at God. They said no. They actually laugh at this Mulla who construes it as their laughing at God.

As far as Mrs Fasee is concerned she may have some good reason to be cross with you but what I just can’t figure out what can Mrs KD possibly have against KD. I mean I am such a harmless kind of guy who doesn’t interfere with anything that she does at home. I just mind my business at KMB day and night.
Oh, that to-do list that she keeps throwing at my key board. Well, I often look at it and dutifully tick the items that needed doing but no longer require doing since they got done somehow.
Yesterday, I did some multitasking (like you) successfully. In between posting comments on KMB I replaced a fused bulb. She brought in the steps took them away and cleaned the place after I completed the operation. While she did all that she was saying something not very complimentry. Not about me as such but about men generally. I couldn’t care less about other men. After all I am not their keeper.

I think you are right. Men should focus on what they want rather than figure out what does a woman want. What I think a man really wants is a bit of peace and quiet around the house particulary when he settles down on a sofa for the evening with a drink in one hand and TV control in the other to surf the channels to watch some sport. And when he is watching a one day cricket match and the last ball of the match is being bowled to decide the fate of the match one way or the other his wife not to stand between him and the TV to ask some silly question like is this match ever going to end.
For some odd reason most of one day cliff hangers for me end this way.
@KD sarkar……last year as I was watching the IPL and the cheer leaders dancing with joy and preety zinta and other indian actresses….emotionally charged at their teams performance….in the stand and I asked my self the same question….without the ever in it….the match and the tournament ended….leaving me High and dry….it took away most of the fun I used to have in the game of cricket….I eventually gave up watching cricket….all together….now I watch english premier league without being a club fan….and watch so many men most of them not gay….enjoying themselves away from their women….aint that so great….
