if you count the wind power on the roof of seaview behind mubarak masjid and the gas generators of TvOne….than it would be far ahead than most European’s like france,Belgium and Switzerland….

sir you forgot the most important contributors to our powewr generation capacity.
1) cow dung fueled appratuses.
2) kinetic energy into electrical energy…cycle dynamos
3) hand held pankhas….they produce wind energy to electric…we convert body motion to proiduce wind energy…see how advance we are.
if i wu dhave been an engineer….i wud have created a wind turbine fed with wind produced by slave labour waving hundreds of pankhas……:)

there are six cable operators who are using the same KESC poles….the street lights were given to the zmc which are now under town nazims…it is a messed up affair….still I am hopeful that we can improve the distribution system….by handing over to the smaller companies….with alternate power sources….

Due to this haram way of getting Electricity , you can see now we don’t have electricity. We have to accept our fault, that’s why what we are suffereing is due to the caused of these ilegal Kunda Connection. 70%-80% of electricity theft in this so called Islamic Country. Every 8 houses out of 10 tempered the meter. And K.E.S.C and Awam of Karachi even Awam of Pakistan and Wapda are all responsible. So ab Bhuktoo yay sab.

Some thing i would say that lets suppose that the Eletricity company have been given to the private firm and they had made some good efforts and every thing is fine now .. no eletricity problems even then the paratics of the kunda will exist ….once you had froced people of karachi to live on kunddas trust me people will look for this every time … So KUNDA is never ending story

I am appalled reading the report about LHCs. What kind of society we are living in? Do this kind of reports get published in Urdu or regional languages newspaper? I presume not. After reading some usual rhetorical headlines on the front page I usually don’t bother to turn the page. You can imagine what would be the reaction of the whole nation of any western country if this kind of report is published there.
Only one cartoon in any western newspaper and the whole nation gets mad, thousands of poor women who are forced to leave their homes to earn some money to support their family get raped and no one cares.

I also used to read regularly DailyTimes and Khaled Ahmed was one of my favourite columnist but I don’t read it any more. I try to avoid reading Pakistani newspapers, all those news and columns make me sad and I usually fall into a deep depression.

@fasee sab….iss sal agar KESC baz nahein aaie na toh I will stop believing in the Rise Of Machines….terminatorIV….and plan and develop my independent power supply….from alternate power sources…..with an automatic switching system…..during the load shedding…..Or….I will further decrease the dependence of electricity and power….and enjoy the fresh air…
