I don’t think nefarious Talibans are Muslims; they are enemies of this country and are trying to tarnish the image of Islam. Islam encourages women to be educated, of course within the bounds of Islam and in purdah. But in today’s times it is nonsensical to close women up; this country will only progress if women are at par with men in various fields.
There must be protest, against the atrocities of Talibanization, all over the Pakistan and they should especially Mulana Sufi Muhammad of TNSM also be arrested and punished. Political and Military bodies should work in close harmony to fight the menace of terrorism and extremism.

Is there any plan to run campaign against extremist liberal fascist elements

We don’t want purdah or bounds of Islam in Pakistan. People are free to practice purdah inside their homes, but no one can force anyone outside on street to observe purdah. Pakistan is not Iran or Saudi Arabia, at least not yet.

In addition…isn’t it ironic that a kafir women come here to lecture our poker party begamat, about women power….suchy sterotypes.

Why don’t these weirdos think bout the bigger picture…women poweer is not a individual act…..but a module in the bigger mechanism of west….can we copy that..??

Women empowerment without giving them channel for social cover, financial security, sexual fulifilment without marriage avenue, won’t help, until u give all that….here only empowermnet witout free sex, security and fincnance…it will just create more prostuites or sexualy furtrated old hags in few years time

Ignorant ArunDhati Roy should clear the filth in her home(India) first where Hindu extremists have been killing Muslims,Christians and Dalits and there are several TALIBAN like separation movements in India which they are unable to cop.ArunDhati should not poke her nose in others matters while she herself failed to do anything in her own home.

Adnan, she was her to support us and not do anything on her own firstly. second she isn’t ignorant rather she was here to know more about the problems. She was here to know what WE mean by Taliban as she herself said this. Respect is needed from all to all. Thanks.

" Respect from all to all"

    None taken, none given.

  11. Raheel Lakhani (raheel07) on May 12th, 2009 @ 4:59 pm

Respect where it needs to be given and the way it has to be given. It needs both hands to clap. Peace.

    Definition of Talibans:

    According to Quran Pak

"Aur jab un se kaha jata hai k zameen main fasaad na karo, tau kehte hain hum tau islahh kar rahe hain.

Be-Shak yahi log fasadi hain per samajhte nahi"

    Sura Baqra Ayat # 11-12)

Actually what I ment was, when nobody gives respect to us , why shud we bother to be self styled torch bearers of ethics and peace…..

If somebody accuse me of being rascist…I show my real rascist face…. Dats my way of dealing with life….:) peace too

  14. Raheel Lakhani (raheel07) on May 12th, 2009 @ 7:32 pm

    karachies, well observed and shared.

fasee, somebody has to start so torch bearing is a good thing. It will also pronounce that at least one is steadfast about his ethical principles.

We should be open minded and listen to what others have to offer. When every Tom, Dick, and Harry (zaid, haaris, and bakar OR airaa-khaira nathoo khaira) is already interfering in PK afairs, why not someone from India?

Also, lots of intelligent Hindus have spoken out against anti-Muslim policies in India, including against "organized" riots like in Gujrat in 2002 by Modi boy….

BTW, the person I hate and despise most is the clown of Kabul, ex-CIA agent, Aladin-kaa-chiragh look alike Karzai. What an asshole!
Yes, he should not interfere in PK affairs and he should put his army on the border so no idiots can infilterate across the border into Pakistan.

finally, since we are talking of Indian Muslims, Maulana Maududi (since most Pakistanis are jamatis at heart) is supposed to have said that he will have no problem if Muslims in inda are treated like maleechh and achhoot. These pearls of wisdom were uttered by him in response to a question posed to him: What if Pakistan is made an Islamic State and India then becomes a Hindu State and curbs Muslim minority rights?
This was after the Ahmadi Riots in 50’s when he was questioned by Justice Munir.

That is why I say that Jamatis sadaa kay haraami hai’n!
    Aur, musalmaanon kay dushman hai’n.
