Kashif Iqbal Thalassaemia Care Center (KITCC)
Thalassaemia major is a fatal disease of the blood. Many people go on through their lives while having thalassaemia minor and never knowing about it. When two such individuals produce a child , the child has a very large chance of having Thalassaemia major.
For a Thalassaemia patient to have any chance of survival they need a blood transfusion every 15 days of their life. Currently the demand for blood for these patients is 15000 bottles of blood a month. The blood banks of this city cannnot and do not provide enough blood for these patients and this is why many of them die premature deaths, many times before reaching adulthood.
Kashif Iqbal Thalassaemia Care Centre (KITCC) is all set to launch a blood bank which will cater exclusively to the needs of these patients. A year ago MB from Karachi metroblogs did a post about this organization here.
All of us can give blood once every 3 months, I urge all of you reading this to please if possible provide blood to this organization. Your precious blood will save a persons life through them. I also urge all the bloggers of this forum to take up on Mb’s initiative and spread the message of awareness for this center and disease. It is very important for 2 thalasaemia minor patients not to marry and have children to add to the toll of this disease, for this people are advised to get blood tests done before marriage.
Please note (KITCC) provides blood “FREE OF COST”. i personally will not only be donating blood for this cause but will try to round up as many people as I can to do this. Please help, your help is needed now!!!!

We should all make it a habbit to donate blood once every year.

Whatever I say, plz don’t take as a joke, but are things to ponder about.
Donated blood is a rare resource, which can be used for saving so many in a one off case like surgery, delivery etc, instead of DRAINING all of it on a choronic diesease, a never ending story.( Its a pragmatic approach, plz no jazbati remarks)
As for children, getting married and having r 2 diffrent projects, I no so many who wanna marry yet don’t procreate.
As for tests, yara, they do a battery of tests when you concieve, yani pregnency ke waqat hi pata lag jata hai……and recomend a aborton….ab phir bhi usay dunya me laoo tu us ke aap zimadar hai…qiyamat ke din jawab dena paray ga.
Personally, I feel both larka and lirki shud be tested before marraige for HIV,heppitits, TB, kidneys, phvhtratic anylisis, virginity test, drug abuse etc….takay salay ki sari asliyat pehlay hi pata lagay.
Ye na hu ke shadi ke baad pata lagay, larka chari or TB ka mareez hai….aur larki poray mohalay ko kush rakhti hai
And on the ending note….I do donate blood atlteast twice a year or so….and will continue to do so…inshahallah

By chari I meant charsi…..in addition I forget to mention,,, there shud be impotency test also for both men and women……infertility is almost 15 % couples by now…so its about tine we save some souls here

aray sir, ninja pe kiy ayaad dila diya…..i reember when i used to take karate classes….while our uniform used to get open again and again due to the fact that karata uniforms dont have any buttons……we used to fancy…jub larkiyon ki fight huway gi tu un ki bhi kameez isi tarhan , apni hashar samaniyon ke sath khul ke sab ki ankhoo ko kheera ker deti ho gi……….
but we were turnied off due to the fact that girls wear a t shirt underneat their judo uniforms.
