I do not believe you guys at all. All you do is create panic through your words. I believe the honorable MD PEPCO, I believe the honorable Minister for power failure, I believe the honorable PM and above all I believe the Honorable President of The Islamic Republic of Pakistan. I believe him because he once said "Pakistan Khappey", I believe him because his wife was murdered, I believe him because the majority is always right and the majority has chosen him to be our President.

I advise you all to have patience and from the bottom of your hearts say " Democracy " 100 times and believe me the electricity will be back.

    Have a good night.

@Ittiqa 420 times democracy bol diya abhi bhi light nahi aae.

  4. balma on June 17th, 2009 @ 11:07 pm

ittiqa, you need an irtiaq. Your logic is very deadly. You are implying that if military was ruling the country, we won’t have these problems.

My understanding is that until people are willing to pay for the electricity, we will have this problem. Most people in Karachi either don’t pay for electricity or don’t want to pay. Unless people pay their bills and pay their taxes, Karachi will remain hell.

We are all bhikaaris. Don’t want to pay taxes, but scream about broken roads.

  5. balma on June 17th, 2009 @ 11:08 pm

I meant, ittiqa, you need irtiqa (evolution) :-)
    soach badlo!

    @ balma

Well, sir, this bhikari pays all his taxes yet he has probelms, why do I pay taxes yet all my taxes goes to fat punjabi beurocray, inefficient incapable army, balochi tribals, sindhi vaderas and bhikari pathan IDPs, and we have to pay additional taxes to keep our gutters from choking….now that sucks.

Power is back on here in Gulistan-e-Johar around 3:30am

  11. d0ct0r on June 18th, 2009 @ 4:29 am

Ms Arabi of KESC had just said that two units of Bin Qasim plant are back online(but now channels are saying that they’ve tripped once again)

Angry protesters have burnt down KESC office in Shah Faisal colony. Tyres are being burnt by protesters around Azizabad,Shara-e-Pakistan,Golimar,Gulistan-e-Johar etc.

I am not sure what kind of friggin’ rocket science is involved in power distribution that these dorks couldn’t get it right. I think this will prove to be final nail in the coffin of new KESC’s management, house leader senator Raza Rabani have already suggested that it should be renationalized .

  12. kiranchiite on June 18th, 2009 @ 4:47 am

We’ll have to put up with this problem as long as KESC is there. They haven’t done shit to make sure the "financial capital" of Pakistan doesnt have to face such problems at least or else the industries/factories will go down. Guess what? The’ve already started to close down and now our beloved President Zardari knocks on everyone’s door and asks for $$$$$!!!!

We should burn down KESC jab saala in ka honay ka koi faida hi nahin. in kay hotay huway jugnoo’on, laltain aur mom batti say kaam chalana parh raha hai.

It was restored for an hour only to vanish again at 5:00am again!

  15. harisalavi on June 18th, 2009 @ 6:56 am

Defence Phase 6 – 8 AM – Still without electricity!!

According to Geo, the "Two restored Bin Qasim plants tripped again" after being restored for about an hour. Unconfirmed news is that it would take some 24 hours more to get this power situation sorted out.

Gulistan-e-johar has light since 9 am…my generators looks beaten, even after inter changing evry 4 hrs…all my fuel stock is exhausted….taking day off from office due tu this rat-jaga…

    My dear Bhikari Balma,

I do not know about you but I pay my taxes, My father pays his taxes and my other two brothers also pay all their taxes. We do not have a "Kunda" at home and on an average our electricity bill is about 20K.

I am against Dictatorship, whether it is in the form of "army dictatorship" or "Civil dictatorship". My earlier post was just an eye opener for the idiots of Pakistan who either cast their vote out of pity or out of other emotions. I guarantee that 80% of those who voted for X party would not even know about their Manifesto, then why did they vote for that party, that is an unsolved mystery and will remain one.

We as a nation, have self limiting beliefs. We love to blame others for everything, its either America, Taliban’s, RAW or the past Government and the great part is that every time the people believe these ridiculous things. I am sure that once electricity resumes we will again see those evil faces with eyes as of vultures and with their beaks half open ready to penetrate the flesh of truth, they will lie openly and bluntly on record and we wont be able to do anything, again.

My friend, I might sound negative to you but from where I stand, its the truth. As a first step of solving a problem is to identify the problem, don’t you think it is about time ??

    Happy Tax Paying.

  18. ittiqaabbas on June 18th, 2009 @ 10:11 am

By the way, I live in PECHS block II and their is no electricity from 5pm yesterday, we were not even amongst those lucky B******** who had electricity for 2 minutes or 5 minutes during the breakdown.

I love karachi and thinking about disowning it !

  19. tarsh on June 18th, 2009 @ 11:14 am

O come on guys..i know its really painful to live our lives withourt electricity but this does not mean that we give up hopes and disown our city…learn not to give up at any cost..our determination can not only motivate us but also make us strong as ever!!!!!!

    Irtiqa abbasi,

I was not implying that you don’t pay taxes. I was just saying that most people in Pakistan and Karachi don’t want to pay taxes and want everything for free.

Your thoughts are very similar to mine. Thanks for clarifcation.
Now, the IUnknown or whoever will think that you are actually me writing another pseuoname….hehehe

And, abay oyae IUnknown…stop insulting me. I am not fussee.
He writes horrible English, his Urdu is pretty nasty…for example, he writes wrong Urdu like: aap kya kar rahae ho…total bastardization of Urdu….But, you are too clueless. You think I write as fussee!

Also, you are a confirmed jamati. You see Musharaf in everything.

BTW, did you read that autobiography of Iqbal’s son?
itneay din say kahan ghaaeb thay jaani?
