Azaadi Blues in Karachi, where are the greens?
The only thing green I could note in karachi is the lights which use a lot of electricity without any reason, sane reason to be exact.
Azaadi ka mazzak. 12 baje nahi ke PUBLIC road band kardiye, yeh azaadi ke naam per azaadi manana hai ya gunda gardi. apne baap ka road samjh kar they flood it, going in whatever direction and wrong ways they want and in the first place how can they block the roads not even taking note of ladies and children. Oh yea taking note but in a negative manner. Each of these retards are part of one political party or another.
Makes the karachite in me red with anger and shame.

@ raheel.
Don’t know where u live or what u saw sir, but fasee was out on his phatphatti, coming back from a party, along family. Right on 12, all fasee saw were muhazib awaz, a surprising change for fasee, they were all standing on footpaths and firing guns in the air like crazy yet not on the road.
I travelled from defence to johar and didn’t find any road choked up.
To be honest, what disturbed me was, roads had unusual thin traffic from 10 onwards….and city had less lighting and flags..looks like is phatichar qoum me kuch maturity ati jaa rahi hai.
What was striking was dat only those buildings had enormus amounts of bulbs, who were really happy bout 14 august.
Military premesis all along sharah-e-faisal, railway police on dalmiya , income tax office in johar, hotels, FTC centre…what shud I say more….awam ne tu jhandiyan tak nai lagain.
Pehlay sirf jaib phati hoti thi, ab tu chaddiyaan bi phaar dalin is qoum ke…per salay pathakhay zaroor chalatay hain sawab ke liyee shab-e-barat pe
hithere i m new friend of all of u.independance day is the day when we celebrate easily with out any hasitation and this type of celebration is now the culture of pakistan.
I don’t know what you saw or actually made it an effort to come out – I must admit that the quality of KMB has suffered a lot and one of the reasons is such blogspots.
agreed!
But thanx GOD v don’t have such as bloger who don’t hve knowledge abt city, like doctor
kyoo’n moonh kaa mazah kharaab kar diya?
thats is sooo LAME !!!!! :D
is it just me or the KMB page format has changed…I can’t find the recent comments ,recent posts boxes….on the top..?
Raheel, all day today i have been hearing same BADMASHI stories from many people and i guess all you can do is bear THESE RETARDs. No other option. I have , in fact, sympathy for em, they dont even know how to enjoy freedom OR happiness. The last time there was an iota of insaniat among KARACHIITes was in 70s
After that its ALL PITCH BLACK DARKNESS
Those who didn’t like the post sorry but can’t help write intellectually on the mess like these. Peace.
@Raheel Lakhani….sir don’t feel bad…it is your right to do a post like this…cousin ki shadi thi is lian mein toh kuch nahein keh sakta…all I can say is that at the moment all Pakistani’s everywhere in the world feel like a Goldfish in a bowel in an empty house with just a cat….
I am hopeful that the situation will definitely improve next year…or you would get use to it…
as they say …:the first ten will be the toughest…
@ wasiq
Yaar lakhani ko smjhaoo, if he starts the trend of being apologetic, what will happen to you, me or KD….ik umer chahiyee mafiyoon ke liyee..:)
MB has a very short memory or perhaps a defective one…..It was not long ago that this city made us all proud when it led the rescue / relief efforts after Kashmir Quake. I saw young and old standing hours in queues not to get but to give. Youg girls from this city supporting back packs and trekking mountains to deliver food and medicine. It was perhaps the proudest I have felt as a Pakistani and a Karachiite.
Time and again this city has shown what could be achieved by by human endeavour and enterprise. Time again it has been pushed back and snubbed. Still it refuses to die, still its full of energy. Its not only its commercial success but also the various blood banks, kidney centres and relief orgs all financed by its citizens without a cent of govt money that make this city unique.
However, there are those amongst us who cannot see beyond their noses.
this reminds me to thank …mithoo qasai and all the IB’s in jamshedtown and adjoining areas for their gracious support for the IDP’s….IOU as well as love you.
@fasee saab…..let KD return then we’ll decide what to do about Balma jee…lately he has become a perwana instead of a banwaraa….
don’t you worry about mr lakhani….soon the influence of the french will subside to make the ways for American indifference…or the british euphoria… making him the pride and joy of KMB..
iam praying for it…
@ wasiq
Well who is da shama-e-mehfil jis ke parwanay banay..??
As for lakhani, what if he get under cuban influence and blow up half of KMB and make the other half dysfunctional, and consider it home sweet home and a model to all the blogs in the world
@fasse saab…sir aap ney gustapo jee(madame razvi) ki yaad dila dee…na janey aaj kal karachi univeristy main kya kar rahee hoein gee….twitter pey hain per follow karney ki himmat nahein pa raha houn…bach bacha kay chal raha houn….lol
yaqeen sey nahein keh sakta.. just a hunch …let balma jee himself disclose…
This place isn’t about those who have helped time and again. They make the good side of karachi. We all acknowledge them but the ones who create nuisance should also get some written bashing seriously.
@Raheel, absolutely right, performing these Zia era ritual’s does not make us more or less Pakistani and are not worth the inconvenience they cause when the young get over board. But then again all the young are not intellectuals, they dont have much to celebrate and when they do, they dont know how.
My retort was targeted towards MB who needs a time machine to search for Insaniat in this city.
I don’t how much entertainment it is because most of the people were frowning or angry. I know they don’t have any places to chill but hey what about humanity. This country needs massive awareness, civil initiatives and poverty alleviation where a person for money have to resort to such acts.
