It shows gross negligance on part of CDGK at the time of designing this section. underground the same ISLAND is Orangi – SITE 72 inch DIA KWSB Water trunk line.

Project designer, consultant, and on TOP the construction company shall be taken to court for this. Whole project is at HALT and there is no way that 1MegWatt overhead KESC grid feeding orangi banaras metroville & SITE can be shut down for FEW HOURS n Shifted elsewhere.

Those high tension poles continue all the way from Banras roundabout towards Abudllah College then turn left towards Asghar Ali Shah Stadium roundabout then turn right towards KDA and Ziauddin hospital roundabout then toward Kareemabad(but just before the Karimabad-Liquatabad flyover it turns right..)

Well these high tension poles were constructed and erected before the construction of flyover began. These high tension poles are obviously an ugly eyesore and create hindrance and obstruction in development work but then again we all can’t live without electricity either(maybe they should work on some type of underground grid).

Despite MQMized city governments claims and spending of billions of rupees on rain water drainage systems and the whole city was dug up but the road from Asghar Ali stadium towards KDA roundabout is badly flooded with rain water coming in from the higher hilly areas and that important road remains inundated and crippled and cut off for traffic whenever there is a downpour. All the commuters heading home towards North Nazimabad,Sakhi Hasan,Nagan Chowrangi,New Karachi onwards get stuck at that point.Majority in those areas comprise of MQM supporters(or at least they claim it to be the case) but it seems that MQMized city government have failed miserably in dealing with this issue. Even if some one in future plans to dig up and build massive underground drainage system at KDA roundabout then that too will be obstructed by these high tension wires masts. Until then most of the residents living and passing through that road will be drowned by the flood water after every downpour.

KESC(Privatized) has informed CDGK that it might be willing to shift these poles if CDGK is ready to bear the cost of shifting(100 million rupees) .

i m really surprised to see such negligence of both CDGK and KESC.
Atleast the people should try to notify the authorities but seems we have a lack of civic sense.
