Heritage of Karachi
After the suicide attack at central procession of Youm-e-Ashur on Monday in which 43 persons were martyred, the miscreants’ set thousands shops on fire from Light House to Bolton Market. The arson attacks inflicted billions of rupees losses and left thousands jobless.

I didn’t get chance to visit MA Jinnah road but I hope these old buildings which are heritage of Karachi still survived in aftermath of riot.

I have not visited these places myself yet…but so far I have not received any news of a damage to these old heritage buildings…..some main roads have been blocked by the law enforcing agencies…in gulistan ay johar area….I am not sure what measures have been taken by the CBC and DHA for the new years eve and friday strike….I believe that a sun down curfew should be imposed to protect the lives of young people especially the girls…and the Mohatta palace and other old buildings of karachi…from the suicide bombers as well as unruly revelers ….I think the need of the hour is to be Better safe than sorry….

These Yazidis, who always chant ‘Ya Hussain’ all the time, have burnt so much; I cannot imagine living with them.

Let us kick them back to Iran from where they bring their strange version of Islam.

Ameer Hamza, ‘these Yazidis’ as you call them are as inseparable a part of Pakistan as your foul mouthed rantings. It’s hard to laugh or cry when one reads crass comments such as these – pot calling kettle back etc. Carry on friend, soon the revulsion that many feel against such intolerance attitudes will sweep the intolerant away to a place they truly deserve such as Guantanamo Bay. Pakistan is for all of God’s flawed creatures, Shia, Sunni, Hindu, Christian, Agnostic and Atheist too, not just the self annointed few. In this hell of murder and mayhem, who’s hands are n’t covered in blood.

Smaller cities, I think thats the answer. The smaller the cities, the smaller will be the number of its inhabitants and the more they will know each other not only by name/face but by character too.

If you are concerened and if you can, I would suggest don’t wait for the government, create your own walled city. We already have guarded neighborhoods? Your own city will mean your own government and I find that to be a very important think in todays world.

And want to request my name for blogger list here.

Everyone is doing politics on the blood & money of innocent plp.

    Political parties are highly involved.

Why a re-known minister belongs to a re-known political party (who own 150 shops at bolton market) sold all of his shop just a month before..

Has he been alarmed, just a month back, however these shops were 40 years old.

    Politics is highly involved.

Those who lost lives, cannot be recovered, this lost cannot be filled, its really tragic for their family for whole life, but those whose shops has been burnt, must be recovered. and Govt should help them all.

These businessman were getting threatened from last 2 years to shift the shop. They don’t know that in this manner it will be done.

    Allah bless us all.

Please learn the meaning of the word “martyred”. In Pakistan media people have forgotten the meaning and use it even for assassinations & murder etc. In this case it should be “43 persons were killed” learn the correct English term when speaking English!
