    And we get taken to the thana for forgetting the running papers of our own bikes!.. then told in the thana that you misbehaved when clearly did not, and told “tumhari zabaan tumhay yahan le k ayi hai”.. and being disgraced for doing nothing wrong whatsoever!.. I hate the scum of this country! and their apparent “democratic system”!

    Reminds me of april fool prank two years ago when they were closing down KMB because of “constand bitter rivalry within the ranks of the authors which has lead to absolute chaos on the site”

    http://karachi.metblogs.com/2008/04/01/kmb-taking-a-break/

    Though i think this time it looks real. I am surprisingly saddened that after all these years they are unable to make some money out of it and make it feasible and keep it afloat.

    Metblogs is closing. What a shame! Strange that they did not find any funding. They were great, great, great platforms for citizen journalism. Adios MB.

    The good side is, We are safe from “MB”,s verbal diarrhea which he often did as a KMB author.

    @doctor: they did not have a business model hence they got screwed. Wikipedia is also running on similar basis and Jimmy Wales asked for funds. I wonder why didn’t they do that

    @Odin

    Interior Ministry’s official report blames MQM Altaf’s militants for target killings,illegal encroachments.

    For the first time all the security agencies in Karachi have collectively pinpointed the problems and have admitted that as many as 83 police officers involved in earlier operations against MQM have been eliminated in target killings, which has adversely affected the morale of police force.

    The report ordered by the Interior Ministry was prepared by a committee which had all the official security stakeholders in Karachi, including the Sindh Police, Special Branch, IB, ISI, Rangers and the Interior Ministry.

    MQM Altaf often use a vague and confusing term “Land Mafia is responsible” to cover and hide its own crimes and this report clearly pinpoints that it is actually MQM Altaf itself which is ‘Land mafia’ and is busy creating new settlements on illegally encroached public parks,play grounds and amenity plots all around karachi.

    @Agnes
    Custom number plates are indeed illegal but every one flouts the rules and easily gets away with it.

    Also, I was on internet before most of you were even planned by your parents…..therefore, if this venue is shut down, we will meet somewhere else.

    Few years ago, I would have considered it a gaali to be referred to as BB. But, now that she is dead…I have forgiven her…like a true Muslim.

    Interior Ministry’s official report blames MQM Altaf’s militants for target killings,illegal encroachments.

    Yaar the land-grabbing in urban Singh had started right after the creation of this country, only this target-killing of poor Pathans is a new hobby.
