Let People Live !

It is just shattering when all of a sudden shops start to close down, “some one is shot, someone is killed, close down your businesses.” I saw the expressions of the pushcart fruit and vegetable sellers today. fear, disappointment, and sadness speared on their grayed faces. many of them will loose their merchandise, some their lives, most of their children will sleep on an empty stomach today. Karachi is one city with many opportunities and and even more uncertainties, too much of blood shed for every single day. why cant we just let people live, is that really too much to ask for ?

Poor pushcart vendors are usually the worst hit whenever violence erupts in Karachi, even if they carefully cover and hide these pushcarts, even then they stand exposed and many pushcarts do get gutted and torched just like countless tires are burnt and roads are blocked by terrorists..

evil begets evil…these poor pushcarts…ever visit them in ramadan and we all get to know how nobel they are when sliting teh throats of poor people…those hoarders, manupilators need no sympathy.

i have more smypathy to poor wite collars who have nothign to do except get crushed by inflation, lawlessness and law enforceres all trying to sqeeze the last penny out of there pockets

@prait-atma saab….sir with all due respect…prices are fixed by the govt…if they are able to extort you …it means the failure of the local govt in your area….to serve you…and had nothing to do with ethnic or racial bias…killing innocent, poor and homeless is not the solution….

    @ wasiq.

sooo…the dark side fiannly effected your reasoning process…chewbaka.

dont you agree sir that still as a remant of old times, we have work based castes or caste based line of work.

pathans drive busses or mazdoori…punjabiz goes to army, memon startes a prize bond business or a phtoo copy ki dukaniya…bhaiyee operate pan and cigrate ka khoka…..jhugi walaz dominate the rehri walaz…where they charge you twice based on your appearance.

although prait being sued to wearing phaticher clothes all teh time…all i need to do is to park my tank some distance away….once outside my phatphati…no body can dream i am a proud owner of that….so i safley buy the things i need to buy….and load it myself back to my car.

while i see otehrs who although utring from a motor cycle and much more neatly dressed..gets to be fleeced by 10 and of cars being fleeded by 20 or more extra…..makes me feel happy for myself…and angry on those “gareeb ” and maskeen” harami qoumz

best part of it is if i let them carry the fruits back to my phatphatti if its too much for me to carry…and see there faces and expression…( i can bet they wud haev said…abay sala , 20 rupay per kilo ke hishaab say 400 ya 500 ka loss kerwa diya is ne)….with probably some choce expletives to add some spice…:D

so…if you think i wud have some remosre for them…naw……i still have metro to buy form….they fleech me too…but in an air conditioned envrinoment.

Until masses understand the power of their vote and stop voting in people based on cast, language, village and other stupid reason none of this will ever stop. Each and every party and its leadership has failed the people of Pakistan yet people keeping electing this clowns. The President spit in everyone’s face and left the country despite all the stuff that is going on. Nawaz will do the same, Wali Khan is already in hinding and Altab bhai is already out. Guess what? Next election Karachi will vote or MQM, Interior Sind will vote or PPP, KP for ANP and Punjab will split between PPP and 31 flavors of ML. Imran will keep screaming but no one will listen unless they need his hospitals.
Allah will not change the plight of those who do not change their own situation. We are apparently not interested in changing our situation.

Its unfortunate and a big shame for all of us living in karachi but not realising the potential of having peace here, lets imagine for a second what would have happened had karachi remain peaceful in past 20 years?

If we can give even 10 years to Mustafa Kamal with the authority parvaiz Musharaf gave it to him, i am sure we will be far better off.

According to my understanding there should be proper control over how people come and settle in karachi, our educated white collar families living hand to mouth on 10,000 per month salary, 4000 house rent, school fee for children and other expenses,at the end of month they left with hope and nothing else.

Whereas people from rural areas come to karachi, build there houses where ever they find space, bring their pushcart to any street they would like and ripe us off.

That’s not fair, don’t make it jungle

Every single person living in the city was affected by the tension erputed in the city following the latest killing. The fear was experienced by everybody; from a pushcart vendor to working women and men returing from their offices, and not to forget the university students who were left stranded when varsiy’s shuttles and public transport went off the road all of a sudden.
