Saw this in my van today. Never heard such a strange name for a newspaper. Any ideas on what the owner might have in his mind?. Generally the colour RED is attributed to the word struggle or sacrifice on flags. Its a 4 page newspaper & its content was like other Urdu newspaper starters. It also reminded me of the popular Awaam that shoot to 10 million/day in 90s. Does anyone read awaam now?

Pardes se tang aakar kia wo bhi Peshawar ki aur gaya

Aaye mere sheher yunhi rehna aik roz mein laut ke aaunga
Champi wale aur Chaye farosh hum bethenge ge phir der talak
Aur phool wale zara ghor se sun SURKH PHOOL mein lene aaunga
Aik GEET ADHORA chora tha wo GEET mein phir se gaunga

Karachi is an addiction and its not very easy to survive being away from Karachi once you have called this place your hometown. Ali, one of my friends studying in London wrote this beautiful nazm for Karachi. Another Ali from Flickr, not a friend of mine but still, has taken the beautiful picture that is shown above.
