<p>These tyre killers will puncture the tyres of cars that come from the wrong direction, while allowing the correct drivers to pass through.</p>
<p>I spoke with an engineer there, who told me that during the past week, DHA had received 4 complaints from angry drivers who lost their tyres to this device. Its interesting how people can call up and complain about something thats a consequence of violating the law!</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The City Government has today launched an initiative of enrolling volunteers to help manage the city&#8217;s affairs better.</p>
<p>The drive is aimed at creating a culture of caring for the city amongst its citizens as against the current trend of complaints and lack of ownership to the city&#8217;s issues. Issues like olunteering for traffic management, identifying and managing cleanliness issues, helping keeping the city green etc are on top of the list.</p>
<p>Enrollments will commence from tomorrow morning at Civic Centre. All people who enroll for this will be given a &#8220;city owner&#8221; badge and will become part of its coordnated database.</p>
<p>Come people! wake up! the city needs you. This is your chance to help make things better!</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The Rotary Club of Karachi Bay has organized a beach clean up from <u>2pm to 6pm on Sunday, April 20 2008</u> in DHA starting from McDonalds and running as far east as possible during hours specified.</p>
<p>Gloves and bags will be provided to volunteers and garbage collection trucks have been arranged for. All that is needed is for you to come for as little, or as much time as you can spare on that day, even if just to clean one square foot of the beach. We would like to have as much participation as possible so please invite your friends, family, or anyone else you think would like to contribute just a little time to make a difference to our city. Please forward this to as many people as you can. </p>

<p>This did result in a breakdown longer than the usual 2 hour span at my end and from a couple of discussion I have ad so far, the issue has not yet been resolved.</p>
<p>I could not find it on any of the newspapers though. Strange.</p>
