This is stunning. So the people wont be able to see/know justice once again, it if comes true. Pakpoint has this article by Shahid Qureshi via London Post that ” Munaf Kalia might be killed in custody after a recent financial scandal according to a senior source in the security. Some one informed the family that Mr Kalia could be eliminated in government custody and presented as ‘suicide’. This leak could be linked to further pressurise the Memon business community but can be serious due to the involvement of high profile elite in the flight of capital from Pakistan. ”

The authenticity of this story is itself a question mark but we have a history of similar things happening in past. In any case, no matter what Munaf has/hasn’t done, he and JK should be given a fair chance. At the end of the day no one knows what really happened. One more reason why we keep on saying, its all about JUSTICE FIRST. . .

From PAKPOINT :

“ It is quite common in Pakistan that witnesses of the high profile cases have been eliminated for example witness of Murtaza Bhutto’s case Karachi Police’s inspector Haq Nawaz Sial was killed by unknown gunmen and more recently Chief Security officer of late Benzair Bhutto Khalid Shenshah was killed out his under construction house in Karachi.
But there are also reports that a secret deal with Mr Kalia has been struck and his arrest has served many purposes to score political points. It is the duty of the State Bank of Pakistan to demand the list of names of people who transferred money abroad urgently and release to the public.

Over 400 international transactions are linked with the MQM party whose international HQ is in London according to press reports. That made MQM circles very nervous and hasty announcement of Micro Finance Bank is also linked with Mr Kalia’s arrest according to sources.

There are rumours that Rehman Malik interior minister demanded a share in the investment of Mr Kalia abroad reportedly in Russia. Currently multi millionaire Rehman Malik was a junior officer in the labour protectorate department and then headed FIA before escaping from Pakistan during Nawaz Sharif government.

A senior security source confirmed that the real reason Mr Kalia’s arrest is related to transactions related to the top elite of the PPP government who reportedly transferred money after de-freezing of their assets resulted from the notorious NRO deal with the General Musharraf.

A close friend of Mr Kalia escaped from Pakistan and arrived in London recently. He feared for his life in Pakistan. ‘Mr Kalia and others should be given full chance to tell their side of their story in the court of law’, said a close friend.”

Just after the attacks in Mumbai Indian leadership started (their media jumping 10 steps ahead) pointing fingers at us, specifically Karachi. In his TV address their top man warned of consequences if appropriate measures not taken (”there would be a cost if suitable measures are not taken“). I take his words very seriously since I trust Indian leadership more than my own, when it comes to words. Though majority sees the current situation in city in an ethnic context, is there anyone who is willing to give a thought to an outside plan? Yes, I know its way too early so that’s why it’s a question. Any media report etc. especially if anyone was caught by police for interrogation? Are they starting the ignition and our people following innocently/deliberately?

Mr. Khudnood tries to clear the picture at DAILY JINNAH. Readers will read it all below but i 100% agree to his views on biased/selective truth our media churns out these days.
From DAWN:
“An award winning American magazine Foreign Policy, has chosen Nazim Karachi, Syed Mustafa Kamal as second among the three best mayors in the world for the year 2008.

The magazine has included the names of Berlin Mayor Klaus Wowereit and Wang Hongju, Mayor of Chongqing as the other mayors of the moment, said a CDGK statement issued on Sunday.
The magazine said no city globalises on its own, but with shrewd investments and smart urban planning, a mayor can help turn a regional player into a global powerhouse. About Mustafa Kamal the magazine wrote that the mayor of Karachi is an unlikely poster child for innovative urban planning.
It said the 36-year-old Mustafa Kamal governs a city that’s more often in the news for religious violence than cosmopolitan ways. But the hard-charging Kamal is looking to change all that. He’s courting foreign investment, encouraging international ties, and boosting the city’s tourism.
According to the US magazine Kamal is not shy about his goals: He has said he wants to turn Karachi into the next Dubai. His Green Karachi project aims to plant thousands of trees in the city. Kamal is not letting anything stand in the way of his grand plans. He has threatened to arrest anyone who tries to cut down the new saplings, it added.
In a statement, the Nazim said that in the past there was no concept of ownership in Karachi. He said his administration carried out development works on a large scale, but added that lot of work still remains to be done.”

The other day i heard one friend talking about a conversation at his office between a CSR and a customer who was complaining that he had already spent RS.3000 but didnt get any gift (that was never coming at first place lol) he was promised by the guy/company, to whom this innocent guy kept on sending scratch card numbers for sometime now.

” At the moment almost every Mobile Service Provider has offered balance transfer facility (except ZONG) between their pre-paid customers. Initially offered by Telenor as smart share it immediately got noticed and everyone else replicated it (Ufone: UShare, Mobilink’s Jazz Share, Warid’s Balance Share). However none of them initially realized that our market is not literate enough for such service. This eventually gave birth to a scam that is still in its full swing and there are hundreds of complaint on daily basis about customer’s mobile credit stolen by anonymous people.

The scale is so big that during Warid’s balance share launch almost everyone was getting fake messages of getting their balance doubled (asking them to send messages having balance transfer string). Thanks to Warid, the service couldn’t work during initial few days and it saved us all the pain. Even though actions against these numbers involved in this fraud are taken, there is still room for minor structural changes (we will come to that later). ” READ FULL POST
