July is approaching and a question is bouncing in my mind… “What is better in current circumstances? Do Karachi really Needs Monsoon This Year?” I think “Yes” but every time when I cross Karimabad flyover looking down at Lalookhet Underpass or Filtering out my bike at Souhrab Goth Signal or jammed Packed from Karsaaz to Civic center I feel “No Dear It is not possible for us to welcome The Rain this year…or the second option may be importing transport boats from Bangkok”
Although city government claim that they are prepared for the coming season but looking at the ground realities it seems very difficult… but I am optimistic let us see what they do if it rain….

Hey! My question “Karachi needs Rain in this Monsoon or in the next?” Share your thoughts :)

Being illegal it is the turn of Caf√© Piyala to get flattened….
Caf√© Piyala is one of the oldest traditional type “Charpai” restaurants in North Nazimabad, I don’t know how old it was but its age is above 20 years at least.
Caf√© Piyala was famous for the strong “Tea” served in traditional “Piyala” (bowl) round the clock and 7 days a week. There are many people who have memories and different affiliations with Caf√© Piyala… if you are one of them lets share your memories/views with all of us.

Last night I come across two consecutive incidents in a minute, but similar happenings in both cases… Cell Phone Snatching… Here’s the story:
I was traveling by an overly crowded mini bus and waiting for my stop… suddenly a man jumped out from the running bus and ran away from the bus… an unfortunate man cried “Mobile… Mobile!” and jumped out to follow the cell phone picker the scene ended. After some moments the bus stopped and I was on my way… again a man was running furiously behind the other… same story but different persons and a different cell phone.
Although these things are now a part of most metropolis but I feel the frequency of such crimes is getting higher and higher with every passing day. People are afraid to carry their precious portable devices. I recalled a photo printed in The Daily Dawn that a foreigner tourist capturing images at M.A. Jinnah Road, Karachi with a gunman for his security.

Is there any method to control such crimes?

I have been living in Karachi for years but still many areas are Unknown to me, I often make discoveries. Yesterday I came across another discovery while going to Jum’a Prayers. I was in my office and a bit late for the Jama’t in nearby mosques, I had no options to fulfill the obligation because there wasn’t any vehicle available and it was difficult to reach other mosques on foot due to time constraint. I didn’t give up and suggest to go a mosque not too far from my facilities but across a “Broad Sewage Naala” (Sewage Stream) actually our factory is situated at Gabol Town, Federal B Area (further from Suhraab Goth) and the “Naala” behind our facilities is quite wide. Anyway I crossed it and eventually I was in a new world… although Naala Facing areas were fetid but the smell disappeared as I entered the streets. The locality looks like a small Afghan town beard men, veiled women and cute but dirty kids playing some kids were looking after their goats like a trained shepherd; not to forget mentioning a beautiful adolescent girl peeping out behind a door.
I reached the mosque in time, it was full with people wearing huge “Pagris” and I was looking an odd man there. A white beard Imam was delivering sermon in a language I cannot understand I think it was “Pashto”.
While returning I found an Afghan who is working in my department he guided me with some shortcuts and within five minutes I was at the factory’s gate.
