PTCL shifts numbers from 7 to 8 digit series

kmb

You will hear this announcement starting from october
“Your desired number has been changed. Please dial 3 before your desired number”
whenever you dial landline number of Karachi with old dialing code (021).

As per the instructions of PTA, Pakistan Telecommunication Company Ltd (PTCL) would shift its fixed line numbering plan from 7 to 8 digit series. Initially migration from 7 series to 8 digit series would take place in Lahore and Karachi.

As per details, Digit “3” will be added in all existing 7 digits numbers of Karachi and Lahore except the numbers starting from “9”. Digit “9” will be added in all existing numbers starting from “9”. An important point to remember is the numbers are being added to existing numbers not area codes, with the exemption of army exchanges which would remain same.

World Teachers’ Day 2009

Untitled-1
October 5 is Teacher’s Day in Pakistan. It recognizes the importance of teachers and attributes progress to the quality of teachers in Pakistan’s Educational System. There are approx 30,000 ghost schools in Pakistan. They exist on paper but not in reality. This ghost school is situated near baldia town Karachi with no teachers or students but some old furnisher and big China lock on the gate.

Government has increased the power tariff by 6 percent

kesc
Government has increased electricity rate by 6% but I have a 6-step formula for cheap electricity.

Step 1: Find a suitable place near electricity pole and place a bamboo as starting point.
Step 2: Place few more bamboos to take electric wire to your home without any clue left.
Step 3: If you find any place to plug your wire on pole just do it.
Step 4: Hurray you have configured a very cheap system power solution
Step 5: Just pay few hundred rupees to local KESC guys as service charges
Step 6: Relax and smile for the camera for this achievement.
