Pakistan is country under the occupation of a feudal Conglomerate consisting of different components (show at right side in a chart). While people have almost complete freedom of movement they are restricted by design in their thinking through the very same components that makeup this setup. Terror is one of the productive weapons of this setup to keep its occupation tight. This occupation is never discussed in electronic and print media which is itself a baby in an atomic age and is hardly able to come out of the roti, kapra, makan slogan. Under the very same occupation some media groups, civil society and courts have tried to get rid of this setup and it is too early to judge if they will succeed.
You must have all seen this video which is at least not a surprise for me since we know the reality is worst than what we can imagine. This video below, however is related to Karachi. I have full sympathy to these fellows terrorized by one of the components of this feudal setup (the rangers). If they had any proof of the wrong doings the law should have taken its course but as you will see, the “official” terrorist abuse law and beat the fellows just because they belong to a particular ethnicity.

Usually the month of Ramadan for Karachiites is filled with a sense of rush. To wake up in Sehri, to sleep afterwards, to wake up again disgruntled for varied destinations (school/college/university/office), to get back home in time to catch some sleep and so on and so forth. In our busy lives, we should at least take out some time to obtain full blessings of the month of Ramadan.

The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:

There has come to you Ramadan, a blessed month which Allah has enjoined you to fast, during which the gates of heaven are opened and the gates of Hell are closed, and the rebellious devils are chained up. In it there is a night which is better than a thousand months, and whoever is deprived of its goodness is indeed deprived.” Narrated by al-Nasa’i, 2106; Ahmad, 8769. classed as saheeh by al-Albani in Saheeh al-Targheeb, 999.

Here is a checklist of some of the things that we can all do to make the remaining days of Ramadan work to our advantage (This is summarized from an email I received yesterday on the same topic):

1) Get in high gear for the next 10 nights and days:
Time is of the essence. Every moment counts. Whatever you need to do for the next ten days to make the most in Ibada, good deeds, reciting Quran, dhikr, making dua, etc., rewards are going to be multiplied. No one knew about the importance of these days more than the prophet (saws). Al-Bukhari and Muslim narrated from ‘Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) that when the last ten days of Ramadan began, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) would stay up at night, wake his family and tie his lower garment tight. According to Ahmad and Muslim: he would strive hard in worship during the last ten nights of Ramadan as he did not do at other times.

Karachi, being a metro & with a population of over 15 million is difficult to manage and since long been the easy target of mafiaz. Due to incompetent state supervision small mafias (sugar/water/land/religious/business/education) of different kinds have cropped up slowly without even being noticed. Some with political cover , some business,  some resource oriented and some mix of it. Latest we hearing is this case (+ more).One wonders if next clash would be among mafias. Recently there had been some reports of action against illegal water hydrants in city as well. The interest here is a prediction of which area to be focused as to which mafiaz will clash/rule the city in different dimensions (social/political) or this is just too far fetched an idea.

I recently met this legendary Journalist Chand Nawab a few days back, his shot to fame was this TV blooper which was recorded almost a year back at the Karachi Railway station. The video finding its way online was a prank by his colleagues and for a good few months Chand Nawab was in a fit of rage at his friends having humiliated him. But now he instead enjoys narrating this story in his own unique hilarious way, which in retrospect believe is worth another youtube clip for the legendary Chand Nawab and his KARACHI blooper

So I went for some shoe bashing, i mean shoe shopping in Karachi sometime ago and too my amazement Bata ki servis(service) is quite pathetic. They have shoes on display but they mostly don’t stock those. I went to more than 4 stores to find two designs but sadly couldn’t find them anywhere. Though I found a better design but hello, if you don’t stock stuff and your generators don’t work in such big outlets , that is still tolerable but when your representatives don’t know how to talk then what else can you comment on the quality of customer service. At least they are consistent everywhere in terms of the customer service they boast :p

PS: Servis can only rule itself on Don Carlos line. Their sneakers aren’t that good from any aspect.

Our establishment’s competency is well proven without any doubt. Controversy manufacturing is their core area of expertise. Okay so an area in North Nazimabad had no electricity for more than 12 hours yesterday. And keeping in view the reputation of KESC, you can expect what they have done with the people who called 118. This time hadh hogayi, I mean they even denied that the people have lodged complaints. Calls should be recorded on these call centers like 1217 so these operators and KESC itself are more responsible about their claims but why would they do it? It would add liability on KESC from all fronts. Moreover, for more than eight hours, these people couldn’t even trace what problem it was. Jiye Kesc! You can’t live with or without them.

I guess KMB should have a new category, why kesc sucks!

Background: (also Read) We heard about different “gardiz” but the most prominent of all is this Mulla Gardi which has spread like a cancer in our nation especially after 80z. While this topic was in my mind for a long time the gojra incident (though factually unrelated but fully related in essensce) forced me to highlight this issue. Its not just specific to that area only. Look everywhere in your city and you can see how religion has been hijacked by retards acting like self certified thaikedarz of faith. Their religious terrorism needs no explanations. From building constructions to land grabbing and politics to sports they consider it their birth right to poke their nones in every domain. And their nose is not enough, they use militancy to further their objectives and put a religious cover to hide their designs. This in short is known as Mulla Gardi.

The evil ZIA was the main culprit to first introduce us with this cancer to strengthen his power. Karachi which then known to be a progressive, highly educated city which produces artists, engineers,doctors of class is now producing militants on religious and ethnic grounds, charas and arms heaven, and a big bunch of ill-literate degree holders. Roam around to see how many of religious constructions are LEGAL (since these thaikedarz act more worried abour morals and legalities).

The Issue: But this is not the point actually. My main point was a suggestion which is why not make a new law titled “Tauheen-e-insaniat” which should auto-activate once “Tauheen-e-Risalat” is not established and this means if one person accuses other of TR, failure in court to justify should automatically result him punished him under Tauheen-e-Insaniat with same punishment as of TR since a person using PROPHET’s (pbuh) name/reference to blackmail/terrorize another person is himself guilty of a TR (logically speaking ? no ?) and the state should now register him under TR law and not any other law. There is no need to go back and do an FIR and all the time-wasting procedures. This should provide good safety check for innocent victims. If there is any such law present it should be further strengthened.

In these two days I never got bored of rain but yes I got bored of swings, the radio the only survival thing, online fb application on mobile which would never work properly and loss of internet/electricity. So all I did was dial 118.

Whenever I would I wake up at the middle of the night, I would dial non-stop until I get through. It was anti-depressant for me. I would wait for 3 minutes and listen the horrible music. Then the operator came and gave the same answer, “we are very sorry, we are working on it” and the very special, every time, “it would take three to four hours”

I mean it was like different parrots being ratafied the same line. So when I was really frustrated I said ‘Shame on you’ to one representative. At the height of my frustration this came up:

Me: “Kab se phone kar raha hun it been more than 30 hours har teen ghante ke baad phone karta hun and you people say EXPECTED HAI teen aur ghante lagey ge. Kia sab ne rata laga rakha hai”
Representative: “We are trying, baarish hai es liye problem horaha hai”
Me: “Baarish kab se ruki huwi hai, aap log ne kia teen ghante teen ghante laga rakha hai” :p
Representative: “Mazrat ke saath aap ko thora aur wait karna parega”
Me: “Kab tak light aaigi”
Representative: “Bas thori aur dair intezaar karey” (She didn’t even dare to say three hours =p)
Me: “Kitna aur intezaar, teen ghantey” =D

and then few hours later

Me: “Light kab aayegi”
Representative: “Expected hai teen ghante lageinge”
Me: “Itne ghante hogaye, aap ne bas teen ghante ki ratt laga ke rakhi hai. Lagta hai sab bhete huwe hain aise hi, ke teen ghante khatam hi nahi hote abhi 30 se uper ghante hochuke hain”
Representative: kind of crying, complaining tone “Sir kia karein try kar rahe hain, itni problems hain. gadiyan(vehicles) nikalti hain aur phir log pathar maarte hain aur….. koshish jaari hai”

These guys seriously know their stuff =p

Btw it took 40 hours for electricity to resume at our place.. duh!

Another btw the amount saved for bills on these 40 hours have been compensated on the calls.

If you have heard the song ‘Piya tu’ from movie Don, replace Piya with ‘Light’ and Mona with ‘Kesc Not’ and it would fit the whole mess perfectly. Try it.

First of all the owners of house that is being constructed decided to illegally extend not just a sunshade (like even that is legally allowed) but the whole upper story of the house beyond the land area allotted to them.

Secondly during the construction this road remained closed for the whole two days, causing difficulties for the area residents and passers by. This closure of the road could have easily been avoided if the owner would have had the slights sense of responsibility and consideration for others.
