120 Schools Celebrate 10th ISEO at Karachi High School

The ISEO or International Schools Educational Olympiad, has been organized by Karachi High School for the past 10 years. A phenomenal competition platform that invites students to participate in everything from quiz competitions, film making, drama, vocals, photography and a cyber fair amongst other categories.

This year, the competition completes a decade and gathers close to 120 schools from across the country to congregate and compete at the KHS grounds. This is a 5 day event that has been supported by Intel, British Council and CityFM89. (more…)

IBA National Documentary Competition

IBA(Karachi) Social Sciences is organizing a documentary competition with collaboration of Samaa TV on national level. Submissions are open till 28th February. The theme of the competition is ‘Justifying violence’.

Besides getting a chance to be heard and open your minds and to other new perceptions, the winners will also be awarded money.

1st Prize-Rs 25,000
2nd Prize Rs 15000
3rd Prize Rs 10,000

In addition to this the top three documentaries will be aired on SAMAA TV, along with any others that are chosen.

Mini documentary Competition

This is just a friendly reminder to people who are interested in participating in DawnNews Mini documentary Competition held nationwide. The Top 3 winning entries will be screened at the Islamabad Film Festival with a sure shot giveaway of a handicam.

Details:

1. Format of submissions must be either in 35mm, Digital Beta or DV cam/ DVD format HD.
2. Duration must be 1-5 minutes on a social issue. Only one film per entrants may be submitted.
3. Documentaries must be produced between May 2007 – May 2008.
4. Entries will only be accepted with submission forms. The form can be downloaded from here.
5. Last day of submission of entries is May 21, 2008.
6. Send your entries to Marketing/DawnNews Plot 12, sector G-7/1, Mauve Area, Near Zero Point, Islamabad.
