Metrosexuality is the latest epidemic spreading amongst the male species of Karachi. You find them sitting in salons getting facials, manicures, pedicures and God only knows what. Next theyĆll be asking for a bikini wax. And in their pathetic attempt to appear macho they have David Beckham as their poster boy, come on!!
I know there is nothing wrong with men taking care of how they look but there is a difference between taking care and obsessing.

hi what you montioned is correct and it was at the begining when i was in karachi . but the thing is that what do any one do with him or her self is totaly and entirely his own business.

I don’t know how they find time to do all those things…. but i guess, whatever makes them happy.

I am curious about one thing… girls complain about guys spending too much time looking good…. and if u ask the guys why they spend so much time doing that, they say its so that they look good in front of girls. It just doesn’t makes sense.

well, a person has it’s own way to live their life, no one can claims anyone for what really they are doing !!

as a karachian lad it clicked me abit harsh but that is reality.

(Karachian have got the style of their own. and to look modern is their trade mark ;))

They should have to follow the trend what’s really going on around, besides they should go for IT field. As the guys of our neighbour country are doing!

As always, Khi’s been a bit late on that. Metrosexuality was a big thing in 2004 but now its on the way out, which is good cuz it started getting really worrying at one stage to see these nancyboys everywhere.

Anyways, here’s more on Metro is OUT!

Actually, I think that you’re the one who’s late about it, Xtasy. Karachi hit the metro scene many moons ago, in fact, I remember it kicking into high gear just about the time I moved back (Dec. 2003), and the Review (from the Dawn) ran a cover story on metrosexuals…it was pretty good. It’s been around forever, just not as openly, but there’s definitely a market for it, right?

Besides, goodness knows, I’ll admit it, I like getting manicures and pedicures so that I look good and don’t get ingrown nails, or hideous hooves for feet. Not to mention, there are about a billion men in Karachi who could stand to do a bit more with their grooming than throw on some deodorant in the morning (here’s a hint y’all: the unibrow is OUT. In a MAJOR way. So is back hair, but that’s just because it’s gross). Besides, what’s obsessive about getting a manicure or a pedicure once a month?

Actually I’ll agree with Sin here. There’s nothing wrong with wanting to look good – heck, the amount of money women throw away at salons in Karachi will blow your mind. If it makes me feel and look good, who are we to complain?

I meant, if it makes men feel and look good! Argh, I hate typos..
