Relax and rewind

Dunkin Donuts opened up yet another branch a couple of months ago, at the same location which once housed Khaadi’s first branch on Zamzama. I popped in with a couple of friends on Sunday after Espresso kicked us out for staying too long [can’t wait for when they shift to a bigger place]Not only has it been tastefully decorated, it hasn’t been overrun [as yet] with hordes of couples on the bunk from college, as has the Schon Circle branch. However sucky their coffee may be, its the perfect place to put your feet up and relax with a great book, without getting mean glances from waiting patrons and harassed servers.

Dunkin Donuts ….ahhh what a reminder, two days ago, before I get on to this whirlwind trip to Karachi from Washington DC, I saw police cars around the place. Coppers, they love free coffee from Dunkin Donuts (I doubt it our police-walas get that sort of preferential treatment….they may at roadside stalls but not sure about Dunkin Donuts). Anyways, nice to know Zamzama’s got a new one…. I hope they have some form of a caramel macchiatto! Can’t wait to get into Karachi, as of right now am at Doha airport. Dying to finally live in Pakistan ….and what better city than Karachi! This is gonna be a new leaf in my life… just hope I can get a job soon! More stuff later.

I know this is off-topic…but urmm…how do I start a new entry, like say if I wanted to write ‘Why Karachi Rocks: Reason # 11’ or something? I see my name up there amongst the bloggers but don’t know how to use this thing.

What is it with Zamzama restaurants, their lack of space and snootiness? A friend and I were kicked out of Kaldi the other day since their first floor was booked and the ground floor had only three table to house the growning number of people coming in.

Nice to see a Massachusetts institution getting press so far away from its home! In Boston you can’t walk two blocks without running into a Dunkin Donuts!
