The fate of Sindhi-Muslim traffic light

They are shutting it down. That means, the traffic coming from Sindhi-Muslim roundabout cannot make a right turn on Shahrah-e-Faisal. And traffic on Shahrah-e-Faisal coming from Nursery cannot make a right turn at Sindhi-Muslim.

I think there can’t be a better solution to the traffic congestion in that area, considering the fact that a flyover/underpass is not feasible. People who want to go to Sindhi-Muslim area can always take Shahrah-e-Qaideen now that there is a flyover to accomodate the traffic load.

I would have to agree ths Sindhi Muslim Signal had to go – but one would have to agree that in the entire stretch of road from Nursery to Jinnah Hospital there is no place to properly make a U-Turn something would have to be done.

As expected the Jinnah Hospital Signal and Nursery Signal is now a disaster – both need urgent attention including a better flow of traffic on Tariq Road’s Allah-wala roundabout.

In addition to the traffic congestion solution by closing off the breaks on Shahrah-e-Faisal, i personally think there is more required. Because of the closure, the traffic moves further down the road towards the Nursery signals using the service lanes. Which in turn is causing bottle necks in that area. I think this is pretty much troubling for us regular commuters.

I am hoping for a solution to this as well.Lets see when the authorities will realise and tackle this aspect.

pointedit out yesterday over here: http://karachi.metblogs.com/archives/2005/07/shahrahequaidee_1.phtml#22834

the stupidity called no cut between nursery and regent plaza is perhaps the worst.

It’s going to get worse, in the coming future. This is the time for the authorities to start building an alternate road/route to the Shahra-e-Faisal.

do agree with Anathema, today in order to get on the Razi Road we had to take that flyover, go all the way to Allah wala Chowrangi and then come back. There wasnt any other way.
