Thunder Pins – bowling alley

As Saad had mentioned before, finally a new bowling alley has opened up in Karachi. The Thunder Pins bowling alley was inaugurated sometime in July. Much to the pleasure of the people belonging to the “wrong” side of the bridge, this bowling alley is built inside the millennium mall (old drive-in) on Rashid Minhas Road.

Although it’s not as big as Area 51, it still pretty much serves the basic requirements of a bowling alley.
The bowling lanes are divided into two parts with 4 lanes on either side. The entry charges are Rs.100 (that get carried over) and each game costs Rs.175 between 12.00 pm to 6.00 pm and Rs.200 after 6.00 pm.
The bowling alley is cosmic and what not. Although they don’t have a full fledged restaurant, they do offer quite a good mix of hot and cold drinks. Due to the lack of both, bowling alleys in the area and bowling lanes in there, you might have to wait a while to get your turn…especially on weekends but that’s fair enough.
So it’s a pretty good place to hang out with friends and all, at least I think so…after all, I scored my highest bowling score there! :D

The first pic looks good….. have heard that the lanes are shorter over there…. maybe that explains the highest score ;)
