Marketing gimmicks

McDonalds is promoting this new product. What cracks me up is that the model is in Arabic dress and their tagline is in Punjabi. I can’t even imagine how an Arab would look speaking Punjabi. And that sure makes me not want to try that new burger.

Not to mention the fact that the board mentions “kofta” but the actual sandwich contains “kabab” not “kofta”! Time for another ad agency, McDonald!

Btw, the model is Ali Azmat.

An interesting sight was on the drive-thru window at Tariq Road (which is more like drive-up-order-you-wait-I-run-get window) while waiting for the order to arrive all of a sudden I see an Arabic Head Scarf drapped employee knock on my window with a bag of Mc-goodies.

At first I was surprised my reation was Muaaff Karroo then I realized it was a Shiekh at my beck and call. I loved it, its not every day you get a Sheikh to do some leg work for you. Thank you McDonalds…..

what’s up with mcdonalds promoting all this arab stuff in pakistan anyway? it’s annoying, specially if you’ve ever heard the average arab talk about Bakistan.

this is coz the head office of mcdonalds is in lahore & is owned by a frnd of shahbaz sharif , the stupid brother of former PM nawaz sharif . the owner is a bullshit punjabi so this ad might be approved by him. !!!!
