Momekh from the Lahore Metblog makes a valid point here – we have done well, but how are we to know what exactly needs to be done next? I was on the phone a little while ago with the head of a welfare organization who was trying to explain to someone that none of the NGOs had any idea of the exact quantities of required relief supplies that had already been sent – anyone who has an official / unofficial figure, please let us know, so that we can contribute accordingly. The last I heard, medicines and cloth for coffins were required the most, but if we don’t make a sustained effort, we’ll end up deprived of all resources or an excess of certain items which are not required at this point. Those who went to the PAF Museum relief drive – do you have an estimate of how many medicines, food items, clothing, bedding, etc have already been sent? We need order, more than anything else.

I believe you guys , shud start depositing medicines , first aid, blankets and such stuff to either red cross, pia , even I think PTV is running a campaign I mean to agencies which actually have means to take these supplies to the affected area on time, time is the most important factor now.

Check Geo. Typical Demand Supply situation. Some sense hoarding to enjoy profit-making, while others announce a real shortage.
