Not enough tents?!

A UN official has stated that there are not enough tents in the world to provide shelter to the homeless. According to the statement: ‘The United Nations estimates it needs 300,000 tents, saying 20,000 have been delivered, 150,000 are en route and 100,000 more are pledged‘. People, think up alternatives – there has to be a desi way of constructing a tent that is waterproof and protects inhabitants from the cold.

Nestle did the same as well. If you have any contacts in MNCs – ask them to donate the same way.

    Hey
My brother’s uni in Canada has managed to raise money. He wants to know if it would be feasible to ship tepees to Pakistan. Apparently people survive in them at -40 temperatures. And he has worked for the Red Cross and UN so he can get help from there also. Bt we need to know fast
If there is a number from which I can get this info, or if someone here knows please email me at aisha.said@gmailcom

    Thanks
