i just returned from Park Towers and was shocked to be told that the jolt earlier this evening, which most of us residents concur to be less shaky than usual, caused the Park Towers building to shake so much people ran. maybe of faear or maybe the building was too weak. but it is surprising to hear that the building shook terribly with those mild tremors. how many people will fall prey to poor construction?

It might be a conspiracy theory (and great truth comes from conspiracies) but more and more people are saying… and please don’t laugh… that the earthquakes were initiated by an eco-weapon. Why? To resolve Kashmir issue, for one.

I can’t say it’s true. I am trying to do a research on it and may come up with something.

we all have our theories. id have said Pak conducted a nucler test but i have internal means of confirming there was no such incident. could it be any other country?

i read in some paper this morning that people thought there was a volcano in balakot..

    ok…
    about the eco weapon….
i dont know about a weapon in certain…but i would concur on the nuke bit….

    its true….
but the surface at khi is too shallow to accomodate any form of undreground testing…..
under sea testing is possible….we just landed a shoal of dead fish a cpl of days ago….
but they were reported to have been dumped by a fishing vessel.

about the quake in khi……met office says its not on the scale….thats weird, considering these scales are sensitive enough to record heavy traffic passing nearby…

Imtiaz, thee scales are always off. in the last four months threyhave not recorded one single quake. they dont say that now. but when the initial jolts hit us in july, they admitted machines being off.

it is kind of becoming a regular thing now :S, there got to be some kind of investigation to dig out the reason. I mean surely quakes cant be predicted but there must be some reason for these regular events.

I guess the construction in clifton is quake proof. but in gulistan e jauhar there is very poor construction quality.

As opposed to major quakes, there are minor quakes that happen at almost on a regular basis and since they are very minor…they go mostly undetected by people above ground.

The equipment in place to pick up this activity should do so without any problem (provided its working). I live in Toronto but all my family is in Karachi…havent talked to them as yet but were there any reports of any damage?

    Good luck you guys…Salman
