Do you stop by when you see someone giving you a thumb signal for the lift? Mostly, I try not to, and it has to do with, perhaps, my inner fear due to the law and order situation of Karachi, and hundreds of stories we have heard since the childhood.

But still, there have been dozens of occasions when I did stop by and have had various different experiences, some okay, and some weird ones as well. Every time I deny a request I find difficulty sleeping that night and some guilt eating me up deep inside.

I also go through the same dilemma almost every second day. I too have good experiences and some not=so-good while giving lifts to people.

    No, No and no.

First of all I take my and my families security very seriously, I would never take any strangers from the streets into my car, Do you know about the high levels of Car-jackings?

Supposedly cars that are car-jacked in Karachi and other places throughout Pakistan are sold in Afghanistan where there is a dire need for vehicles.

Yeah thats great Afghans steal my Land cruiser!
