Bvlgari
Turning from Sindhi Muslim to Shahra-e-Faisal, almost AT the intersection, there are two identical Bvlgari perfume billboards in succession. They are hardly fifteen feet apart.
Anyone got any ideas why they’d want to waste so much money on another billboard at the same place?
Definitely not cuz of increased exposure :S
distract the drivers
Maybe, when putting up the second one, they forget to notice that they have one there already.
Atucally, there are now three (3) boards in a line, each 15/20 meters apart. Lots of money spent but it makes the presence felt. I guess this is inline with the ‘spending extravaganza’ that is expected from those who would eventually buy the purfume!
by the way, how do you pronounce the word bvlgari?
i bet the company just had ad expense to show….maybe a few favours here n there?
I think “Bvlgari” is pronounced “Bulgari” because the Romans used to write “V” instead of “U”. And no, I am not “nvts” :)
yupp.. big ol bro up there is right. i think it’s pronounced bulgari :) kept me confused for a long time and always used to avoid naming the brand :p
anyway, what i think is they’re really REALLY stupid. if they wanted to make their presence felt they could have put up three billboards at heavy traffic places and not three in succession, thats just crazy!
tw…speaking of V’s, BBC address in london is 16, Bvsh Hovse….seen that anyone?
Get attention but the implementation is bad!
marketing strategies and what not.. the end result is to get attention… and hey, they got the attention of all you guys, didn’t they? lol
this is what its all about.. ad campaigning.. attractive nutty foolish or clever… whatever to get the attention of the zombie nation is worth the money… but what would i know, i’m not a business student…
