Leave the students alone

Seems like the government has got too much free time on their hands to waste on matters like these. Now they want to change the examination system of SSC, or Matric. In my opinion, the existing system is working fine. It doesn’t put too much load on the students. If they combined the exams of 9th and 10th grades, that would make the students work twice as hard as they will have to learn the coursework for two years. So please, don’t fix something if it is not broken.

The worst thing is at the end of news item:

“Chapter on Pir Pagara: Dr Khuhro also informed the Sindh Assembly that a chapter on Pir Pagara and his Hur followers was being added in the primary textbook to highlight their services to the motherland. ”

What this moron peer has done for the country??? At his age 77, he just fathered an unfortunate child. I wonder who the hooker was !

Lol… thats how it was in Federal board. We gave our 9th and 10th Board exams together.. but later on they split it. And if they’ve taken this decision on the level of federal gov. then federal board would be combined too yet again!??

I wonder why they keep on playing with exams systems, instead of increasing their Standards??

The education system, most certainly is broken. Just that instead of fixing it, the government is exacerbating the system.

And a chapter of Peer Pagara? Damn.

Combining both levels is simply a foolish idea, instead they have to add 2 more courses (subjects) in both class. It is needed to make our SSC stronger and courses like accounting, Computer II, Add maths etc will be very helpful.

Pir Pagara is just another feudal who keeps education out of his villages so he can continue to exploit his illeterate people. Some of his children have taken over the Karachi Race Club and have emptied the coffers. They run it like their personal fiefdom. The Karachi Race Club used to be a prestigious establishment. Authorities are scared to do anything. Another son is wanted by police for killing a security guard over a disputed property. Nothing will happen.

    They are all thugs.

Cant help but feel bad for that “hooker” ( to borrow MOID’s word) ; no woman should have to go through that ordeal …well maybe except for Benazir.

yeah.. all those subject to cram in just one year.. that’d b really bad for us, huh? i mean wtf.. who studies anyway? we’re all just shitless crammers anyway.. matric or inter, ratta hi tou lagana hota hai.. thats how u get the highest grades, isn’t it? added note to some comment in the UIT blog.. it’s not necessary that people who din’ get the high grades weren’t rocket scientists.. maybe they weren’t good at cramming like most of us and were actually good at getting knowledge…

this doesnt make sense to me – the punjab board split the exams into two years, just like the sindh board. so did the federal board, or at least that’s what i remember. and now the sindh board decides they want to merge them? the education system of this country is completely screwed up.
