Hello Arsalaan, I’m not the famous Assistant Editor of DAWN, just his namesake and a fellow web enthusiast like yourself :-)

The information posted on bryanadams.com is the only information I have presently. Let’s hope this event does occur as scheduled and isn’t cancelled like the Khaled gig some time back.

Namesake or whatever – we can still claim that Omar Qureshi reads our blog ;) no one needs to clarify/mention that if he is/or is not the editor of dawn

    Thanks Omar

As much as I’d like to see Bryan Adam’s in concert, I have my doubts.

If I am not mistaken (I am not!) – Moharram begin arond end of Jan. Who would allow a concert around the 9th of Moharram?

  10. Noman (unregistered) on December 15th, 2005 @ 11:48 am

mohurrum starts on 1st of feb,so this concert can easily take place

Well, I don’t believe the shows off, ’til Bryan says it’s off, and that isn’t the case yet! I will be travelling from England to see the show in Pakistan, not that I haven’t seen Bryan before, 50 or so times! Keep your chins up guys!

  14. Ishfaq (unregistered) on December 26th, 2005 @ 5:24 pm

My friend doesn’t think there’s going to be much of a turnout in Karachi for the Adams concert. I totally disagree. Can you guys give me any idea about the Adams following, and also of the venue capacity? Oh and for anyone who wants to see Bryan in the UK, I can help with accommodation etc. Email me on hussain_ishfaq@blueyonder.co.uk. Also, Bryan is helping raise money for the October earthquake and the Tsunami, and I think this show is part of that initiative. It’d be a real shame to lose the show. Lastly, if you are a Adams fan can you tell me if there is some sort of fan club in Pakistan? Thanks guys.

The tickets will be Rs. 4,000/- per person and the organisers are expected some 15,000 people to attend, even though more than 20,000 can be accomodated at the venue.

For tickets email me @ leemarse@hotmail.com

Estimated GDP per Capita, Pakistan, 2004:

    131,516 rupees

Cost of Bryan Adams, who sucks, ticket:

    4000 rupees

Percent of GDP Per Capita that will be spent per Bryan Adams ticket:

    3%

    Absurdity:

    Priceless
