They took all the trees…
and put ’em in the tree museum…

This is what I saw at SF on my way to work this morning. First they grow all the trees, then they cut it like paper. Then they grow ’em again, all in the name of progress!

Since when has cutting trees been progress? These were perfectly good trees on sh-e-faisal, and cutting them down to plant new ones reeks of stupidity.

Two years back they decided to cut some of the exisiting trees (near PNS mehran) at Shara-e-faisal and tried to replace them with shrivelled palm trees. The trees’ braches were tied up till the point they could root up in the soil. Some of them did begin to grow, while the rest kept looking dead and dull.

come on guys, the horticultural department, the forestry department, and the cantonment boards also have to get their shares of our country’s never ending wealth. If they dont cut the trees (good money) whats gonna fill their pockets. and then they have to support their nurseries, thus the cycle goes on and on.
