Sabzazar and Mela bulldozed?

I just saw on AajTV yesterday that the covernment has bulldozed Sabzazar Lawns as well as Mela restaurant yesterday. Has anyone been there in person and seen it? I have a special bond with Sabzazar because that’s where my engagement was held :)

Well they say it was illegal…if it was then it was then it took a long time to get noticed or was there someway of not having it was such a prominent place for such a long time that I have my doubts it was illegal..maybe the Subzazar people didnt give the authorities what they were asking for.

It was illegal as KWSB which owns the land had allowed these guys to build these areas in exchange for the builders to construct their club.

KWSB now has back tracked as this is now PRIME property so I can be sure many builders migth have a keen eye on this location.

At present its KWSB in conjuction with Nazim who has authorized the bull dozing. Who knows with time which builder might get this prime property…

You saw this today, Khurram? I saw it yesterday and cackled like hell!

I mean, imagine the couple to be married or engaged there yesterday?

They strut towards it and gape in amazement: “Where did it go?”

    Poor folks! *grins*

Well, the real story seems to be that since the property is on a prime location, KWSB wanted to get out of the deal they had made with mela and sabzazar people ‘cuase more lucrative deals were at hand, and the quickest way was to get the local govt to do their dirty work. Another examply of synergy. Hehe.

The operation was launched after termination of agreement between the catering company and the Officers Club. The city government had to wait long for carrying out the operation as these lawns were booked for marriages and the government never intended to create problems for the citizens, an official said.

With the sighting of Muharram’s moon when the last marriage ceremony ended the demolition squad swung into action after 2am on Tuesday.

During the operation the occupants offered no resistance, whereas the armed guards of Sabzazar lawns surrendered upon seeing the heavy contingent of police. The operation at the lawn was completed in eight hours.

as the officials says that they have already warned the owners before couple of months a go to not to book further. because they already got the dead line.
But if they got the dead line before couple of months a go then why they dont took there belongings with them because yesterday i have seen in the leftover stuff, its looks like that they were not axpecting that kind of action from the autharities.
autharities are planing to do the same thing with the dirty and filthy hordings and adbanners too in the city.
