oh, karachi clouds…

khiclouds.jpg

I’m usually quite consistent about my love for this dusty city of ours by the sea, and despite the construction, the bijli goings, the general traffic and so on and so forth…my passion is indeed, persistent. However, there comes such a tgime, when i absolutely go on a high everytime I step out, and thats when Karachi has clouds.

Look up while walking anywhere these days and you will see white swirls, slowly puffily floating lazily across the almost-summer blue sky. And as the evening draws to a close, the colours go mad in their splish splashing, painting the nightscape in a million hues of reds, pinks, oranges and blues.

    Nice blog.
Ilove karachi too. Its dawn and dusk are so unique. They have their own color. I particulary love the sun down time starting Oct onwards. There is a sudden quietness in the air around that time. The summers are refusing to leave the city and winter doing their best to set in. The sudden chilling of the air is in stark contrast with dry heat of the day around that time. But what I loved the most was those stretched out sketchy clouds over the horizon turning pinkish with color of the dying sun. For some reason many of the elections in Pakistan also happened in Oct and Nov and I dunno why it always brings back the jubilant feel of the election season to me as well.(I love the hulla gulla of elections and late night transmissions)
