Djuice = Telenor

djuice.gifFor the past few days the newspapers have been bombarded with a very interesting marketing campaign orchestrated for the brand “Djuice”. Until today I was assuming it to be a new juice company preparing to launch itself in Pakistan, but today was I in for a shock to read this to be a new concept by Telenor. A little bit of research discovered that the domain registered as DJUICE.com shows Telenor Mobil as the owner. Interesting……

Registrant:
Telenor Mobil AS
Snaroyveien 30D
N-1331 Fornebu
NO

For a sneak preview on the features that they might be offering in Pakistan visit the Djuice Dunya the Bangladeshi website to show this concept in full.

    Hey ppl! personally I rank this campaign to be good, if not excellent. Cuz of the enormous BUZZ it creates in the market before its launch! What u think?

    The marketing company: Helium
    Address: Near Euro Tiles, DHA-V, KHI

  13. Illusionfs (unregistered) on March 15th, 2006 @ 5:39 pm

    I rank this campaign excellent because of its graphical content. It is if not the most latest trend, the best and trendy and modern art that I have seen in Pakistan so far. 2 thumbs up to Helium and Maaz thanks for sharing that its Helium, I was trying to know who done it.

    Wacky Stuff!

    @Schawlaf
    u can be a great poet :P
    nice ‘shairee’ u’ve done there, lOl

    and yes, i’ll say this campaign was successful, especially after the recent decline telenor faced after the cartoon issue. nice move to have their market back and to even expand it!!

  16. schawlaf (unregistered) on March 16th, 2006 @ 12:05 am

    Well I went to Telenor Fortune Center office to get the setting , the ambience was excellent , people were courteous , the guy told me to use Djuice i have to get the new SIM which i got for free ( remember 100 rupee ka kharcha before) then he proceeded to setup my cell phone which is no easy feat on a Razr however i easily set it up on a Nokia , well the thing is if you want content for your cellphone through your cell phone and have a Telenor account handy this service is awsome else go to http://www.Zedge.no and get whatever you want for free one last thing unlike previous Telenor prepaids the deposit is time limited my 250 will last for 2-3 mths only

  17. Illusionfs (unregistered) on March 16th, 2006 @ 9:36 am

    schawlaf: did you get the new cim for free? :S i paid 100 rs for it :/

  18. schawlaf (unregistered) on March 16th, 2006 @ 10:50 am

    I already paid 100 bucks through negative balance transfer

  19. Poo poo Head (unregistered) on March 16th, 2006 @ 11:18 am

    I am sorry but what is so exciting about all this ?? Am I missing some thing ?? I guess all those (I am talking about useful) features were there with my mobilink sim in 2000. Who cares for tones or games. Yah nation wide calling has become very cheap, I remember the time when calling lahore costed 42 Rs with PTCL :( now its just under 1. I guess no cell phone service provide voice messaging facility , when ever I call to any one in Khi on their cell phone, it never goes on messaging. Karachites are crazy and I miss Karachi where simple things like this could bring waves. Simple people with lot of happiness (no pun intended). If some body texts me , I get really annoy and here people are talking about mms ;-). I was using Nokia 3310 till 6 months ago, I just loved its buttons, its batteries got weak and then I had to get another fancy phone which is so hard to use but its battery gives me 4 hrs talking time, wat else I could desire :-) . Sounds like that no one uses 3210/3310 in Khi any more :-( they were great phones.

  20. Illusionfs (unregistered) on March 16th, 2006 @ 12:21 pm

    3310 was indeed the best selling phone in the history of pakistan. I know how much i loved it when it was introduced, and used for so long. I am sure most of us used it, but the problem was its weight. It was heavy.

    PPH: nothing exciting man, its just that we have nothing better to talk abt.. you have something better to chat?

  21. Poo poo Head (unregistered) on March 16th, 2006 @ 12:46 pm

    Djuice is a company owned by Telenor for sure. I am in Ukraine, using Djuice, the day i saw the advert with the guy having a funny hairstyle,i knew it ws telenors, bcoz here its a part of the company Kyivstar whose 48.2 or something shares are owned by telenor. I just hope they have a contract with each other,maybe the calls will b less expensive then, right now it costs 1.50 US dollars/min to call home, Pakistan :( + you can not send sms to pakistan, we can Only recieve em.

  31. Sohail Shuja (unregistered) on March 22nd, 2006 @ 5:33 pm

    Djuice is the best effort of the Telenor. Me already
