What’s up?

What’s up with all the balloons, colored flags, security, traffic barriers, road blocks? Is it just the Expo or the forefathers of the country are back in town?

It’s definitely the Expo. Karachi’s being showed off all right.

And did you catch the spelling of Karachiites on the message from city Nazim? (Karachiats). Really!

Do they expect to win foreign buyers/investment with those baloons :P

Did ya all notice those white police cars (white corollas). dont think there have beeh reforms in the police dept, its just for expo. And those cars are rented by epb

    Yes its karachi
with balloons, colored flags, security on one hand
    and on the other hand
traffic jams for ppl returning back to home after spending a tough and busy day in office,
most of them stuck up in between. it took almost double time to reach their destinations.
    and yes
a big area without light in gulshan with lame excuse of some transformer fault, but one can judge if that was a fault or was to fulfill electric requirement for EXPO
I would also ask regular bloggers to write something on Transport issues in Karachi, specially if someone has even been to Star Line Coach he must have know conductor’s and driver’s behavior

Maybe this ‘dressing-up’ of Karachi was for a day because I do not see these colorful balloons anymore. Rather, the management had been efficent enough to remove them the very next day
