Rocky dividers

If it wasn’t enough that people passing by Schon Circle [now extinct] had to suffer through traffic woes for over a year, the powers that rule the roads have now decided to pave the road leading to Ashiana and The Forum, which means that all traffic is diverted to the service lanes. If that’s not bad enough, the main road is actually divided into lanes by slabs of rocks, that are placed at regular intervals. So to turn into the main road, one has to see the space between the two rocks, calculate if their car can pass through and then say a last prayer for their car’s tyres. Much fun, no?

How is the road from Schon Circle to Boating Basin now? When I visited Karachi last summer, they had pulled it apart as well and I usually had to take a long detour through Do-talwar. Hopefully that has been repaired by now.

They are digging roads all over Karachi, without any planning, as if have they ever planed for any thing in the past. And This Schon Circle, I think it has been cursed :| .

been hit and damaged the rim of my new car’s tyres two weeks ago, a day after the wheels were balanced and aligned, thanks to a stone right at the turning. now have to get a new rim cuz the wheel is slightly off smoothness.

I’m here at shoun circle 9 hours everyday.. i’m actually working in Supernet, WTC. Everyday i get late just due to this traffic… i’ve just been there 10 minutes ago.. and the sence is like soon we are going to have a vehicle grave yard here, and as for all over karachi!… poeple will start to make their cars their bedrooms, live in it, eat in it… and die in it,… while the trafic outside stays jam! :S

guys dont worry thr will be more n more of digging coming up in few months…they r planning a flyover from karsaz to expo centre which also lands at national stadium gate 1 !!
The other day my dad’s frnd who is an architect for all these govt. projects told this and he also boasted tht Karachi is the number 1 city in the world as far as development is concerned..n i kept on arguing tht development shud b planned, thr must be some proper alternate divergence if a main road is to be blocked…but in vain :(, tht uncle was so happy !!
if anyone wants to bash him thn i can give u his number even :P

Ooh !! This road goes straight to Agha Khan and Liaqaat Natioal If they will Dig this road how will the ambulances pass through, the only road left will be the Old Sabzimundi road which often remains jam these days, It’s a perfect portion for Disaster . I hope they have planed some Proper diversion route ..
