Traffic chaos at National Stadium

I have been hearing it around for few days and some readers also pointed it out. Since the start of construction of flyover/underpass at National Stadium, traffic situation has been chaotic in that area. Delays of at least 45 minutes are being faced by commuters every day. So, what does one do? Plan ahead. That’s right. Leave 45 minutes early and beat the rush hour traffic. Don’t let circumstances effect you. It took 7 months to build Clifton underpass and all the commuters suffered the misery. Now same is the case at National Stadium. Only thing we can do is wait and adopt accordingly. Soon the construction will be done and traffic will be smooth again. No pains, no gains.

Very optimistic approach.I like it and i totaly agree with you.I am here in Doha since last five years and i tell you, right under my 12 floor office building there was a main Highway which they started expanding to 8 lanes from 3. Now, after almost 10months that highway is still under construction. We should not blame authorities for reasons we dont even know.
By the way, what kind of o/f is it? Starting from where and any specs available ??

Yeah the traffic there has been really chaotic, specially at morning and evening rush hours, but the main concern is not for the commuters, This road is constantly used by ambulances to bring patients to Liaqat National and AghaKhan Hospitals and now the Jammed Old Sabzimundy Route and an evenly Jammed Time Medico Route will really keep ambulances from reaching the two very important hospitals in time.

Well, it would be all pains and no gains, like the clifton underpass, which is still a work in progress.

It is easy for you to say, Umar, you do not have to suffer the ‘that’ traffic jam everyday, at all times.

In the post – it should be “Don’t let circumstances affect you” not “effect you”

    @original-anon and english nitpicker

Nice to have the gang back. Seems like
a reunion of the “grammar brigade” (the
title “they” bestowed upon the three of
    us a few months ago).

Having been busy with preparations for my
trip to Karachi tomorrow night, I really
have not been been paying thorough attention
to KMB hence missing this glaring error.

However, regarding the spelling and grammar
lapses on this site, one has to give them
credit for the fact that at least they’re

@Faisal : Have a great trip back. I just got back from a visit myself. Pay attention to the signs and you’ll find plenty of amusement.A shop selling ‘chicken levers and jiblets’ had me laughing for a long time. What do you know, give me a lever big enough and I’ll raise the whole coop not just a lonely chicken:)
@English nitpicker: Glad to have you back here again.
