net, net, wherefore art thou internet

It is full, final, decided and ratified. I have the worst internet connection on the face of this planet.

I am done with both emotionally ravaging dialups and emotionally challenging cable nets.

Can someone please tell me the options that I have for a decent internet connection; DSL, ISDN or whatever else that there may be in this great city of ours?

    Welcome to the club!

Your cheapest options for a decent connection will cost you Rs. 1,500 per month + installation. There are 2 choices:

    1. CyberDSL @ 64kbps (8kBps)- 2 GB limit per month
    2. WorldCall Broadband @ 100 kbps (12kBps)

Speeds above are theoretical limits. Real speeds will vary above and below those limits depending on the time of day. Both options, though, depend on availability in your area.

I have heard praises for WorldCall’s service by some, while others hate it for some reason or the other. CyberDSL is relatively new. Other’s will give you a better idea.

Depends on basically where you live as Worldcall / GoNet / SatNet are not available in all localities. You can either go for DSL from Cyber / Multinet or wait for Wateen’s WiFi Broadband.

Try Multinet Broadband ,its installation is costly @ RS.10,000 but unlimited 256kbps ( constant stram of 28 KB/s) is for only Rs. 2000/- Satcomm charges Rs. 1800 for 128kbps and they stop their services from 1 am to 1:30 am . For Multi all you need is a seperate telephone line

its not that easy to get a wireless connection for the nation! :S
