Secretary Required – Must work long hours and keep MD pleased

Dawn Classified, Position Vacant, Sectarial JobsFor years, one of the most prevalent stories of sexual activities in the office, used to be boss-secretary relationships. To the extent that i heard, a couple of prominent businessmen had setup seperate offices, away from their normal businesses, where they would hire secretaries (and other staff) just to have illicit relationships with them. There have even been countless drama serials based on this story, the most recent i can remember is Behroz Sabswari’s “Mein, biwi aur boss” (or something like that, dont rem the actual name though).

It appears that this now comes out in the open, or maybe its a slipup on the part of some really desperate person! Annonymous gives us this classified ad, which he/she describes as lewd at best, appearing in the Classified Section of Dawn.

Your thoughts on the subject? And please, a request, dont make this a war of the sexes, that who gets hit on the most etc.

its a horrible ad. its amusing to find that most ppl say that the mentality on the other side of the bridge is perverted, its much the same on this side too(defense, clifton). its just done with money and glitter. i was looking at a rexona ad on this blog posted a while ago… if that ad was not perverted, i dont know what was. forgive my lewdness, but abroad, the fingers signify a small penis, the shape of the deodrant signifies the curves of a woman and just the ad line markets woman so shrewdly… as tho theyre some desperate pcs of meats! and to top it off, i was soo appalled to note that no one recognized these subliminal msgs that even highschool textbooks here talk abt.

maybe its the fact that I am gradually growing accustomed to how things work i the west, but that ad is just asking for a law suit. Key phrases that caught my eyes were Cute Personality (define that in 100 words or less)
Anything and Everything (would owning a personal edition of the Kamasutra would to the applicants credibility)
Pleased and Relaxed (that MD doesnt know what hes getting into – having two women may lead to pleasure but not neccesarily relaxation)

Its sad that a couple of months back, i read an article about this menace in this very news paper.
Now DAWN is a part of it.

someone really needs to pay this guy a visit.

I like this guy. isn’t he very clear what does he want ? Atleast he is not going to exploit some one. And I am sure he could get what he wants in said amount. He is much better than those guys who would pay just few thousands and would still expect things to get pleased.Bravo. This world is just like a market and you could buy most of the things.Whats the deal ? Get a life you idiots or atleast get a money to enjoy that.

Auright if I were in Karachi, here are 3 things I would have done.
    1. Sorry to be rude but I would have hired the ugliest girls I could find, get’em dressed and then send them for the interview all wired..

    2. Hired transexuals, wired them and sent them for an interview.

This would be funnier than watching the 8th season of South Park!

HolySaint: There are three types of people , one who can count and one who can’t.

Ugliest Gal :-( I know it was you Fredo. You broke my heart. You broke my heart

  14. mansoor (unregistered) on July 11th, 2006 @ 12:25 pm

teeth: that would allow him to keep under the radar, no doubt. But atleast this way, he’ll only get calls from girls willing enough… :S and there are MANY out there!

kumail: haha! a lawsuit!!! thats wht we miss here!

yo yo: how many articles would be enough to get these things to stop? Like faisal mentioned, there have been articles like this already… all that will serve is to make these people go underground.

jamash: i agree wid sooban ;) play a prank on this guy! haha

    sooban: read the above :D

    zeeshan: really? Lewdness = creativity?

faisal: its just a case of the right not knowing what the left is doing.. im sure they dont have the same editorial controls over classified as they do in the articles section… maybe they should?

    pph: ?!

unholysaint: our very own reality show! LoL! “lewdness at the office” haha

  15. UnholySaint (unregistered) on July 11th, 2006 @ 8:36 pm

@poo , give the man a brea would ya! I had another idea which i typed but later removed it thinking someone may find it offensive. I still think wired transexuals or maybe midgets are a great idea!

  16. Anz (unregistered) on July 12th, 2006 @ 1:27 pm

Why are we blatantly herrassing transexuals and midgets at the expense of a perverted prick who most probably sees a psychiatrist cuz his wife aint getting what she expected from marriage. No, lets not play a prank on this arse. lets just get the RIGHT confident gal hired and then help her shred him piece by piece. I know a few who can pull it off rather extravagantly. the only way any one get this guy to relaxed is by lodging a silver bullet between two fine legs. that way he can atleast claim to have one of what most men have two.

I am in USA but, I am really surprise to see nothing been done about it in media or in religious circle. I dont see newspaper is being sued or pressured to release the name of the person who posted the ad. I dont see anyone from legal department sending undercover agent to arrest this guy red-handed. I dont see religious people marching on street or sitting outside press club in order to show their anger. Is Pakistan still a muslim country???
I must be dreaming I think.

  18. mansoor (unregistered) on July 13th, 2006 @ 12:58 pm

sameeh: “people in glass houses shouldnt throw stones at others” this is the rule a lot of our ‘higher class’ live by.. and by lifting a finger on one.. they know they’ll be uncovered pretty soon.. hence the quitedown.

As for the mullah party not doing anything.. i guess this is an english paper, n they dont read it cuz its blasphemy or somethin 2 them :S

  19. Rehan Younus (unregistered) on July 13th, 2006 @ 1:16 pm

What a Pathetic Ad !!! There are places here where he can go anf fulfill his sick desires. Is this what we called a healthy society? These sort of Ads should be banned, but the newspapers are only concerned about how to generate money no natter what. This is Contemptible !!!!

  20. Sameeh (unregistered) on July 13th, 2006 @ 2:39 pm

Mansoor; I understand. But most of Pakistan is not Rich or live in or as “High Class” as you have called it. Many of graduate student, who do look for jobs are not from high class society at all. And they do look for these kind of ads. Dont they report that to their parents, local mosques, teachers or school or even TV like Geo TV (As i heard they are doing some reporting done in pakistan).
I see on Benazir, mullahs and Nawaz shareef call for non sense issues people go blind and go for march. But things that are really define social issues dont even touch them. This is sick. I hope I am wrong and it is due to laziness of people.

  21. mansoor (unregistered) on July 13th, 2006 @ 9:02 pm

rehan: banned? come on!!! i understand its contemptable, but why is censorship the only option? whatever happened to inculcating decency in the coumminity? removing the root cause?!

sameeh: most people who see these kinds of ads have two reactions, 1) Dont go for it… 2)its good money… lets do it. For a lot of them, complaining or even mouthing it is a big No-No!

  22. Anwar (unregistered) on July 16th, 2006 @ 12:54 pm

I am not sure why most of the respondents are so upset about this ad. As if there is no prostitution exist in Karachi. So it would be OK for someone to find a Rs 500-1000 trick which is not uncommon in Karachi but not when one is willing to pay 20-40 K. Look they are not forcing anyone to apply, they are upfront with their motives. So then let the market forces do its magic.
Perhaps Allah has blessed you all with economic means but there are other unfortunate souls to whom Ads like these are opportunities sent from heaven.
