Jashn-e-Azadi 1: Habib Bank in its Splendid Beauty
Last month Habib Bank Plaza caught Mansoors attention in his post a Splash of Colors. As I was driving on the II Chundrigarh road today, I couldnt help notice the Habib Bank building. Since the entire city is planning the celebrations for the 59th Independence day of Pakistan, the Habib Bank Building was lit up in green and looked absolutely gorgeous. I was lucky enough to be carrying my camera, I quickly parked the car on the main road *I chose to park near some men as I do not have a theft insurance for my camera and its dangerous to be carrying even a 1100 cell phone let alone a digicam*, turned on the hazard-signals and got out and quickly took a few shots. Even though I was not carrying my tripod, the pictures came out stunning.
Jashn-e-Azaadi Mubarak.
Nice Pics, but a bit dark.
looks good! now thats a good angle!
this building does have its own charm and grace!
damn these power cables
Umar: those power cables is a signature reading “Made in Karachi” all over this building. Please dont hate em :D
Thanks for sharing a wonderful picture, living away from pakistan such pictures of holidays and celebration bring back nostalgic memories.
Very nice pics. By the way I was passing Sea View yesterday when a stunning sunset and cloud formation caught my eye. I usually have my SLR camera with me so I stopped to take a shot but unfortunately The camera shutter release failed for some inexplicable reason. I missed a superb shot. I cursed my camera and since then we are not on good terms with each other and the shutter release wont work. nikon dont have a service outlet in KHI as per their website, anyone know of a good camera repair shop in or around DHA/Clifton area? Its a Nikon D70 SLR.
its amazing how the city has been victim to bad load-shedding these past few months.,
yet we have enough electricity to light it up for the month of august to celebrate independence.,
its not fair. not until we get independence from loadshedding.
