Fly away

these flies are gonna be the death of me. how are you battling them? my stock of mortein spray’s are kicking ass at the moment. on top of that, my faithful electric fly swatting racket is rocking as well. how are you guys battling the scene? i went to pizza hut the other day and it was like the crusades had just ended against the flies outside the entrance. not sure what those guys are using to kill the flies there but i’m sure there are some severe health risks involved with just having a few hundred thousand dead flies outside a fast food joint.

Health hazard damn right, but how many flies can you literally control, Pizza Hut (if you are talking about Boat Basin) is literally a stones throw from the stinking pit called Boat Basin on one end and the NALA in the back, not to mention the STINK BOMB fish-waste laden trucks that pass by everyday. Flies must be a daily routine for them.

Just be very careful, don’t want you to head back with the “Karachi stomach” on a stretcher. Watch it, stay away from the “healthy food” of Karachi (Boat Basin & the likes of Burns Road) – but on the other hand it can be termed as a wasted trip if you cant enjoy the delicacies

HELL enjoy your life now, worry about the repercussions in Canada – PARTY ON!!!

You came from Canada to write here about flies. I thought that I would get some reasonable posts from you but then I am often wrong. When are you going back and then please leave the seat for others who are more deserving.

All the mods/authors are hypocrite when they can’t take care of such small thing. Metblogs rule clearly says that “authors sould be a resident of city” and of course this Halai is just visiting. Whee you just can’t follow this simple rule , dont ever come out and complain of any thing.

@PPH – I totally agree with your comment.

Only people residing in Karachi should have the privilege to blog about Karachi. I understand there are few KMB authors in UAE and perhaps elsewhere who occasionally blog here. How the hell you could feel the pulse of the city living miles away.

here’s some more information on the racket that i was talking about.

in response to poo poo head, you have no clue what guest blogging is all about and you know even less about metroblogging my friend.

  8. Poo Poo Head (unregistered) on August 18th, 2006 @ 1:22 pm

Halai , there is no concept of guest blogging here at least. There might be guest posts but you can not hold seat. This is a perfect example of moulding laws in one’s favor.

I under stand that I might not have sufficient knowledge of metroblogging, please enlighten me , I would appreciate that.

Dont worry, I understand that you have many fiends inside but come on at least post some thing good. From canada you have come to write about flies, that tells much about you my friend.

poo poo head, i’ll let the captain of this blog comment on your questions.

it’s too bad, if a non-expat would be guest blogging here, he’d be welcomed with open arms. shameful. i doubt i’ll post here again.

  12. Poo Poo Head (unregistered) on August 19th, 2006 @ 12:31 pm

Thanks Halai, I appreciate your understanding :-) Dont keep any doubts, make sure that you dont post here again. By the way we would appreciate your guest posts but guest authors, I am not sure how to deal with them.

Poo how one would make guest posts if he is not a guest author?Just wondering!

I understand your feelings but the rule which you are talking about is actually for a karachiite who is living abroad and making posts on this metro site. For instance you are not eligible to make any post about Karachi because you are not physically present but this halai who is a karachiite physically exists on this land, could be accepted as a GUESt author to make posts. Its like some outsider visting our city going to share his experience.Even some russian who is visiting this city is eligible to make posts. That’s how metroblog differs from other kind of blogging.
