Bring on the Porsche
Here is the picture of the new Porsche showroom that Mansoor mentioned in this post. They don’t seem to sell a lot since I see the same two cars inside the showroom every day.

I dont think this low car can bear the bumpy roads of Karachi.

Porsche tractors would do a lot better in karachi i.e. if they make those at all in first place….

Those cars are just for the showcasing purpose. Thats why you probably see the same cars every day.

Also, this is not a permanent store which is why it is not that grand. Porsche has a plan to construct a proper permanent showroom in Karachi later on.

The showroom doesnot look as grand cos after
the recent catsndogs raining in akarchi the chances of any further investmenst seem ridiculous to even fortell ;-)

i saw a couple of the new porshe jeeps in the city during the rains.. the drivers were really off-roading em :D

a porshe will remain a porshe.. just like a corolla will remain a corolla :D

For me owning a Porsche has far less chance than struck by lightening but still I wonder what people do with such expensive cars. I mean where do they take it for a ride or once they reach their destination where do they park it. Do Porsche owners have access to different streets and markets which I never frequent or I’m just being paranoid here.

Porsche makes a four door SUV called the Cayenne.

The Porsche jeep is the biggest waste of money there is. It’s the ultimate status car – can’t drive it off road but will still set you back arounf ¬£60K. Needless to say, people still buy them! Of the ‘supercars’ though, Porsche seems to be the most common you’ll see. Lost its exclusivity.

There are a ton of Porsches on Lahore streets these days, the word is that they are sold out for the next year at least… so I expect that you all will be seeing a lot more soon.

anyone know what a nice apartment building in Karachi is? preferably on the water.

farooq: SeaCliff Apartments would be my suggestion.. got loads of problems, but still quite few compared to the others

Farooq any aparment is waterfront in Karachi nowadays.

HAHA i guess everything is waterfront these days, but hopefully the city will fix something at least. I just want something where the paint doesn’t peal off the walls and the quality of construction is good preferably something that is centrally airconditioned and overlooking the ocean. I mean this shouldn’t be that hard to find… but this being pakistan… the easiest things to find are generally the hardest like quality workmanship. THANKS EVERYONE, I appreciate the help!
