Review: The Party 2006

Earlier, i posted on this event, a comedy theater play called the Party 2006, which consisted of two plays and a musical evening. This time around, i got my butt out of my house on sunday and went to see it…. BIG MISTAKE!

The event was supposed to start at 7… the organizers couldn’t get people to assemble till well before 7:45. I was almost about to leave in frustration.. feeling totally cheated out of 250 bucks that finally the curtain lifted. I thought, chalo.. why not.. lets see what they have to offer, since i *did* pay.

The first play, called “The BOOR” was all that i saw. It was written by a Russian author, and while the play did have some good points to it.. the acting left much to be desired. Rib-tickling comedy my foot! the poor attempts by the lead actor to make the audience laugh fell on deaf ears… half of the time, i couldn’t even understand the dialogue.. the female lead managed to give a heart filled performance.. but was out-crapped by both the other actors.

That was all i could take.. and left as soon as the curtain fell on the first play.

Kashif-X also went to see this play, and here is what he has to say about it:

in shortcut, “The Party” was a total piece or crap. It cannot be even compared to an amateur comedy play, it was performed by the students of FPS or i think Lyceum and the crowd was their school. The stage was BAD, the acting was BAD, the laughters were NONE, the whole thing was not all all even amateurish.

and

I feel cheated and disgusted by this mockery ( i left halfway through the show with my family). I wonder if anyone from the organiser have the decency to send me back a full refund.

Kashif.. im totally with you! i want a refund too!

I have a suggestion for everyone that …. if everybody will add an intial (a 3 digit city code) after there nick, it will help others know where they are from.
For example as mine nick i.e. KhiTorPit, I am from khi and I lived in Toronto for several years and now moved to Pittsburgh, US.

Not necessary to add the history of the places you lived but atleast 2 initials where originally from and where are you right now.

It will really help to understand and know each other and would be helpful in many other ways. Like if somebody is relocating to some place and if somebody needs to know about something and many stuff like that.

Please do Let me know if that will work. Any suggestion will be welcome.

Would “DUB” be Dublin or Dubai?

Not that I agree with KHITORPIT, but the proper contraction for Dubai is DXB, not DUB :)

Hey you cheaps …. If I will write the names of the cities I have visited … then that will be a very long list, have a positive approach and always think positive, you will succeed in your life.
