Mobile Malls…

Fairly recently, ive come across quite a few buidings that label themselves as “Mobile Malls”. The prime objective of such establishments is to facilitate the sale of mobile phone accesories at competitive pricing considering they have a captive audience base.

What intrgues me is the factor of how important or how critical is the impact of mobile phones and their accesories to warrant the creation of a separate mall culture. Must be a huge revenue driver I guess.

Also, the “family mobile mall” concept is now catching on. Considering I’d never want to take a female to the mobile market in Saddar, its an interesting concept. Here comes the critical question. How many families shop for cellphones together?

The idea is appalling to me. I would certainly take female members of my family for cell phone buying if the environment is family friendly.

come to the (make shift) mobile market behind Motta’s at Clifton at night, and you’ll see firsthand how many families shop for mobile’s together :p

I’ve been getting my own, my family and whoever asks me for a reference a cell from there for the last 6 years now

I believe these places sell crap only mobiles. These should actually be shut down because more the malls, bigger the competition and you got a huge demand for second hand mobile which means MORE mobile snatching in Karachi.

I also believe that these are the places where you’ll end up becoming a victim of a pocket-picker or mobile snatchers who lurk around such markets. My advice KEEP AWAY FROM SUCH “MALLS” and please don’t bring females with you. Perfect place for chichoras to mix and match and bag!
